A fun anthology film with some classic horror antagonists and a new one. Here we have a few houses on Halloween night and an abandoned rock quarry where some tragedy occurred years ago. Ghosts and will-o-wisps could make fitting creatures, or serial killers and other Halloween fare.

"The Ruins," like a lot of good horror, creates a really unsettling situation out of a fairly commonplace experience. Also, like a lot of good RPGs, the "bad guys" seem to have entirely reasonable motivations. Here we have an ancient pyramid with an abandoned encampment surrounded by dense ...

It really warms my cockles whenever there's magic in horror movies, even if it's understated and not really the point of the movie. This map includes a cursed farmhouse and a witch's hovel that could be used as the lair for a hag or some other evil spellcaster.

Combining spelunking with creepy blind cave monsters was a pretty fun idea and kinda perfect for D&D. This map has a bunch of tight spaces that PCs will have to squeeze through and a huge chasm to cross before getting to the creature's lair. Could also load up with traps and cave-ins, as well...

George Romero's classic changed the game when it comes to zombie movies and how we think of zombies in general. Here we have a cemetery recently vacated graves and a nearby farmhouse with way too many windows. The basement and second story are on the right. Black and white included for that origi...

Dagon is a pretty fun entry in the Cthulhu mythos that definitely does not take itself too seriously. Here we have a small fishing village that takes after the town of Imboca, with a small hotel and an ancient temple. Could be a nice place for the PCs to find some rest and trade, or fight fish-pe...

The premise of "The Platform" is simple but it's executed entertainingly with a bit of social commentary tacked on. This map draws from the central conceit and places the party in a prison cell with a pit in the middle. The sustenance providing platform makes its way downwards until it reac...

I really like the idea of a cemetery groundskeeper who's tasked with the responsibility of taking out freshly spawned zombies (or returners as they're called here). The movie gets pretty bonkers towards the end but it does have some interesting shots and the music is Carpenter-esque. Here we have...

Was a huge fan of White Zombie way back in the day and when I heard Rob Zombie was making a horror flick I was all in. There's not quite 1,000 corpses on this map, but there are a bunch. I could see this being used as a haunted house or the lair of a madman (or a family of mad-folks).

A low-budget horror movie from New Zealand that extends the idea of Nazi's delving into supernatural powers such as in "Indiana Jones" or "Hellboy." The effects are really great and it's definitely worth checking out if an occult World War 2 horror film sounds even mildly interesting. Here we hav...

When I first saw "Train to Busan" I had no idea it was a zombie movie, or even a horror movie for that matter. Boy was I pleasantly surprised when the undead showed up. This map has a zombie infested train and a few nearby houses that might (or might not) provide safety for the adventurers....

Might be a bit of a stretch to call Ghostbusters horror, but that librarian at the beginning did legit terrify me as a kid. Anyhow here's a temple atop a tower inspired by Gozer's Temple. It could be used as a portal for interdimensional travel or a gateway for otherworldly invaders.

One of my favorite elements of "Interview" is the concept of a vampire society with it's own sub-cultures as we see with Armand's Parisian troupe/coven. Here we have a rendition of their playhouse with attached vampire lair. The map could also be used as a legitimate theater or maybe the strongho...

The third movie in Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy is a Lovecraftian horror that feels somewhat satirical at times with it's Stephen King side-references. One of the most striking images in "In the Mouth of Madness" is the Black Church in a massive open field in Hobb's End. Here we have a re...

This found footage movie features a party of adventurers crawling through a dungeon to in search of an alchemist's stone. It's practically a DnD movie in a modern setting. The Void has some awesome creature designs (done with practical effects no less), cultists and some fun cosmic horror elements. It's sort of a mashup of Hellraiser, Rosemary's Baby and Frankenstein. Graboids! Here's a loose interpretation of the town of Perfection as depicted in the b-movie classic Tremors.
