Because that grimore already chosen world tree magic, light magic can't use it. While the other elves was reincarnated into human bodies who has similar magic for example elves with fire magic able to use the same grimore from that same body because the grimore was also specialized in fire. And grimore was used to enhance your nature magic which for example fire,light.

My suggestion would be to watch these openings at these episodes: OP8(Current one) at Ep 102 OP9 at Ep 115 OP10 at 122 I enjoyed seeing the genuine reactions to which characters turned out to be elves and that's one of the spoilers the new opening had. It made the reaction much better. I'm actually revisiting this arc after a long time within your reaction videos and it's been making me appreciate this arc much more. Keep up the awesome videos.
