2025-09-16 23:49:39 +0000 UTCOoh, lot of complexity here. Combination of the sword and armor, specifically the helmet, Indicates a *battlefield* role. Literally, as in βfeudal army, seen combatβ. The horns (and the use of a sword) indicates sheβs definitely not a foot soldier, but the helm isnβt ornate enough to be a commander. Sheβs a samurai retainer, in the service of a noble lord. However, this clashes shockingly against the presence of tattoos, especially ornate ones, which are not something the samurai class would countenance. Implications of criminality, prostitution (very high class, given the intricacy, but still), and outsider status. Add in the burns and the eyesβ¦ my best guess is that the army sheβs part of has never marched on human soil. Headcanon is that she was a high-class courtesan in life who died in a brutal fashion (the burns) who either wants revenge, or swore to become powerful enough that this could never happen again. A demon lord heard her oath and has taken her into their personal army, where she has risen through the ranks to her current role.
