When it begins, a powerful current rises from the depthsโso strong that no creature can overcome it to reach land. Itโs like a whirlpool gate between sea and shore, trapping the denizens of the deep in a liquid prison.
From the surface, it appears as an endless procession of massive waves. They donโt crash against the coast but roll and churn, as if the sea itself were boiling with fury. No one can predict when the Great Rip Current will come or end. It arrives without warning and vanishes without a trace. All living beings can do is learn to live under its rule.
