👋 Baku here! Today, we’re talking about the best trader in Xerrabil: Blaine.

From the very start, I wanted her to stand out for her maturity — not just in her appearance, but in her spirit. In the realm of Tymparid (the kingdom in which the story is set), life isn’t easy for beastfolk, and they have to work twice as hard as everyone else to achieve any level of success. Blaine is one of the few who have. Her achievements speak for themselves; they rest on a sharp mind, a keen intuition, and an iron will.

But Blaine’s path wasn’t an easy one. A traumatic childhood, years of slavery, betrayal, and pain have marked her in mind and body, leaving her with whip scars and a prosthetic leg. Blaine’s past taught her not to trust easily, but it didn’t break her. On the contrary, she’s now looking for someone with whom she can experience real peace and safety.

Her general appearance came to me right away: the black hair and eyes, the pale skin, and the moles. The remaining details underscore her personality and status. The furs and gold, the color red, the expensive fabrics — they speak not only to her success in business, but to her knowledge of her own worth and ability to present herself well. She has earned her lifestyle.

Amusingly, most of her visual emotions in-game are light variations of a neutral expression. I just can’t imagine Blaine emoting too vividly — she’s too cautious, too habituated to keeping herself tightly controlled.

I want her route with Ilias to be set apart by how calm it is — no unnecessary drama or scandals, only peace and mutual trust. But that doesn’t mean there won’t be challenges in her storyline. It’s just that the drama will come packaged differently.
