Dr Susie - could you please repost/add a link to the pelvic floor exercises you suggest?? I would like to look them over to make sure I understand them correctly. I am wondering if they will help with ED - also, my Pilates - barre and PT instructors keep referring to the pelvic floor muscles as co-contracting muscles when completing my inner core or TVA (transverse abdominal muscles) activation. They keep telling me that if I am feeling a Kegel like response then I am firing up the TVA muscles correctly because of the codependence between the two muscle groups. I would also like to learn more about male multiple orgasms also. I remember reading a book on that topic decades ago and it seemed to be an involved process in getting proper feedback firing the proper muscles involved once the point of inevitability draws near - also reminds me of a story waaaaay back in college - there was a class that many of the nursing/pre-med/biomedical engineers had to take and it was called something like the physical mechanics of sexuality - or as we called it SEX class!!! The textbook was so guarded at the bookstore that you could only buy it if you were on the preregistration list for that particular semester - it was so involved that I remember many of the students who took the class respond that with all the physical moving parts and how intricate and involved they were they were amazed that everything actually worked as well as it does!!! Super involved and difficult class to take.........

I told my Urologist I am very strong ( I could hang a bath towel up with my erection) when doc said Iโm not talking about strength/tone Iโm talking about relaxation / stretch. Iโm like whaaaattt. Then I got into PFPT

2025-02-10 18:58:00 +0000 UTCHmm... This may come in dribbles as I sort through memories. My most mind wrenching experience with sex is actually more a social comment. I was/am a shy type and, despite having lived through the 60s "Free sex" era, learning that women were casual about being aggressive in pursuing hookups was a real shock. (See my avatar.) To this day I'm not willing to test which women are at which end of the spectrum. The next shock was learning that not all men just naturally have multiple orgasms. Per the study from pubmed.gov that I find most valid, many or most men who do have multiple orgasms are in the same boat. Common for them to learn via their partners. The lack of literature at the time made me angry, feeling treated like a freak or that I didn't exist. My brother also has multiple orgasms and we just put it down to being a family trait. The two most helpful experiences with pelvic health are probably learning about the perineal muscles to improve erectile function and posture for better bowel movement. Amazing. I've never heard anyone discussing the perineal muscles or the part they play. Didn't know they were there. And better posture ended about two years of hygiene issues with bowel movements. Just crazy.
