Youngdaeland ARTMS Interview

Adored this interview -- it's the type of questions and general atmosphere I want to see more idols take part in. Felt natural and humanizing in a different way than most variety ever does. Very much looking forward to the upcoming promotions.

The guy posted episode 2, one year after, few days ago :D

Hi, ARTMS fan here that didn't follow Loona at all! Good to know you read all the comments, I spend way too much time on them. Loona came to an end right around the time I started stanning my first group. I remember liking Virtual Angel, but found the MV hard to watch (like many). I didn't dislike it at all and how it was made was a great idea on paper, but my brain did not enjoy that on first watch. I was not nearly as much of a multi-stan as I am right now, so I checked it out, watched a bunch of reactions, noted from comments that some day, I should listen to the album.. and then went back to my usual stuff at the time. When BURN came out, I revisited VA, partially through reactions of course, and it felt overwhelmingly nostalgic for some reason. After finally listening to Dall and getting into the group more seriously, the song makes me emotional every time I hear it. In the Lunar Theory setlist, it is the song that I connected to the most. I can't say if it's my favorite on the album though, maybe something like Butterfly Effect might top it. But I just loop this whole album anyway, it's like one song for me. They did Sparkle on the tour, right before VA, which are indeed the only two from the album. And as this very new kind of fan I really enjoy learning how involved they are artistically and how their company does things. Beyond that even, I don't think I've seen such a candid, genuine, sincere and personal interview with idols before, without getting too unhinged, comical or sappy. They don't usually get asked questions like "what do you do when you feel really down" and if they do, the answers are kept short and are filtered by rose-colored company glasses. It's actually awesome how the interviewer is able to imitate their mannerisms and the atmosphere is so friendly that everyone is ok with it. Watching the last segment: Haseul stands out to me in how she can answer almost any question so quickly, decisively and in great detail. She seems like a leader, but apparently they don't have a designated one? Is she known for thinking and reflecting a lot? Or is that mainly Jinsoul? Although to be honest, most of them seem to reflect a lot. They also seem quite comfortable with talking about their feelings openly, which shows the trust they have in each other and in themselves (I wrote this before they started cringing). But also, getting these thoughts out of people is the mark of a good interviewer. I relate to Haseul and Jinsoul the most (the introverts?), but would like people like Heejin and Choerry around me (the extroverts?). Too bad Lip wasn't here, I want to know where she fits in. Ah and the popcorn thing might be connected to hypersensibility traits, where seemingly minor sounds and occurences destroy a persons focus, whereas most people wouldn't even perceive it at all or could tune it out effortlessly.

Haseul was saying all the right things until the popcorn slander. Personality wise I think I'd be closely related to Jinsoul as well, maybe Lip.

Picked this up again from yesterday, but I loved the second half of this where they basically just reflected on their personalities. All really interesting stuff to hear, and it matches what we already know about them quite well. I personally related to a lot of different things the girls said, but I think I'm most like Jinsoul. Mainly with the overthinking, and the way she said she deals with tough days. Also yeah, I was nodding along to Haseul's cinephile talk until she mentioned not eating popcorn at the cinema - a step too far for me 😂

I really like interviewers that are able to catch onto mannerisms and little details in speech like he can, he's able to add a lot of nuance to his questions (also just a good quality to have, shows you're really paying attention lol)
