Before watching the reaction: I had been putting off watching this episode until today, I needed the right time for it. Seulgi on Leemujin is like a major event to me. Maybe I knew subconsciously how emotionally devastating it would be for me. I even had to skip the first hour of your livestream so I can watch it on my own first. If I could decide on biases, which I can't most of the time, Seulgi might be my ult bias. You can pick this timbre and delivery out of a million singers, there is nobody else like this that I've ever heard, and hearing her unplugged and on her own like this is the best. Maybe I haven't watched enough content, but I did not expect her to sing Rock, only in my wildest dreams. If anyone reads this and knows videos of her singing Rock music, please let me know. Her voice doesn't naturally fit that style of singing, but that's why I find the idea so fascinating. To hear that she plans to stay in the industry for another 12 years and that she still has lots of ambitions, even though she has already achieved so much, is such great news. Girl straight up says being an ace (and then some) was always the plan. Also, the viewcount on the video makes me angry. MOAR! After: I put TILT slightly ahead of Monster and Naughty. I just like its genre and the epic parts of the production the most, although Monster is probably the better song. Naughty is simpler, but catchier than the others and easier to listen to. I will say that TILT benefits from recency bias for me, I feel it will not hold up as well as Monster and especially Naughty over time. Re: "Holy shit this part sounds so good" Her natural vibrato and even moreso her deliberate vibrato are among my favorite things in music. She's fking amazing on this type of emotional song. There's something that I think is similar in technique right before the chrous in Praying (from her solo EP) and I remember it breaking my brain. Side note: I feel like an idiot for still not having checked out IU's music, from the little I know it's so obvious I will like it. Too much stuff to check out as always.
