Uber in Korea is UBER, but it doesn't get you a 'ride share' driver, it just hails taxi's. It calls taxi drivers who are in the program, nothing more. It is regulated as taxi service.

2025-05-17 08:47:04 +0000 UTCYeji did not burn chocolate in the microwave. She put chocolate in a new bowl that the staff prepared for her to do her "Making Peppero" live stream. But they gave her a white bowl with one of those white security stickers on the inside, she did not see it and they did not remove it. She put the chocolate in, and turned on the microwave, the underside of those stickers has a metalic coil wire that disrupts the signal between the sensors if it was not deactivated. So she put that in the microwave and after a few seconds she saw sparks and then the sticker caught fire. The fire in the bowl with the chocolate transferred that 'flavor" of burnt metal to the contents of the bowl. So MIDZY tease her about not having cooking skills and she can't even melt chocolate, but honestly it was not her fault. She didn't know the sticker was there. Suwon (Yeongtong-gu mentioned in the video) is a bit farther out of that area (35km by train or over 40km by car) and it takes about 2hrs by bus, train is faster. So yes to find someone who is from outside of the city and in the same smaller area, is a cause for surprise.

2025-05-17 07:45:07 +0000 UTCIt takes roughly 4 hours by car to go from Incheon or Seoul to Busan, It's 3 hrs or less by express train. That's the largest city north to the largest city south. Now it takes longer to get to other southern parts of Korea from the north because infrastructure and mountains and demand, have all impacted roads and their creation or size.
