I could not agree with you more on the fact that they often don’t have an edge. And I often look for it just on the basis that they are a rock band. But their own forte is defo songs like monster and still there and those they NAIL! To me fourever was a bit more of a miss as an album, might be the only miss in all of their albums. But this album was good I think overall. Yes the mid section is a bit boring but on their own, they actually make for super fun listens. I wish you had watched monster and meltdown with lyrics because the best part is how they follow each other and counter the sentiment. It was a special kind of feeling for the fans as they pretty much attribute meltdown to how the fans helped them become more popular.
