I know other people have said it, but I'd like to reinforce that they were amazing at Coachella. There were shaky vocals, they were nervous at the beginning, there were sound issues in the stream, yes that all happened, it was a live performance at the end of the day. But the energy and fun they brought to that stage were unmatched! I was so surprised with all the hate because I watched it live and I was super proud of them and felt they did really well.

Now i think after some time, they gain more supporters than haters because people realized how ridiculous it is. Btw i really enjoyed your content! I just needed to comment on that lol

I wanted nothing to do with Coachella in general when there was so much chaotic noise around it. Now that we're distanced from that I can probably watch it without that influence in my head n

They did GREAT on that stage! they will also probably make another docu after this trilogy ends. Its their brand at this point which i appreciate it bc you dont see this rawness and honesty anywhere else nowadays. The outside noise are so loud but having introspective members like sakura yunjin chaewon really helps the younger members so im not at all worried about it. Anyways, really great video really great points you said and thank you for reacting to this docu!

The idea that you can’t feel that way the whole ‘If u love what u do u never work a day in your life’ mindset makes ppl think that if they feel exhausted or stressed than they don’t truly love their job which is dumb bc everyone feels like that. I’ve seen plenty of people regurgitate stuff from twitter and kind of go with the crowd with this hate train so it’s nice to see someone not let themselves be swayed. Showing compassion when a lot of people wouldn’t is important. Great video! Made me excited to explore your content!

As you said it doesn’t help anyone if anything it does the opposite bc Starbucks isn’t on the official bds list the official page posted a thread as to why it’s not on there and ppl still keep spreading misinformation which hurts the cause at hand.

Id much rather hear a translator speak if it means the artist/group is more natural with their interactions. IU was an absolute experience of a lifetime for me.

Sure they put out music recording or MV behind the scene footages, but they're generally in surface level. Speaking of IVE's live performance, they still used the similar model yesterday at the Lollapalooza.

2024-08-04 20:52:40 +0000 UTCExactly, you summed o Up pretty much everything I was going to say. Haters ran with 20 seconda worth of clips of "bad" moments from an hour long show. A show I would gladly have paid premium to see in person (just maybe not at coachella lol). The Week 1 is worth watching at least for the 1800 Hot and Fun performance..that still replays in my head on a regular basis, especially Kkura's parts.

IMO, all the hate and criticism they got for it wasn't just blown out of proportion, it's all complete nonsense with no basis in reality. Both performances were great, but week 1 in particular was probably my favorite live performance I've seen since getting into kpop. They toned down their energy a bit for week 2, probably based on all the "criticism" they got for their vocals on week 1, but the level of energy and the rawness that they brought on that week 1 stage was unlike anything else I've seen from a kpop group. You said you prefer real, raw live performances where you can see and hear all the human imperfections, and that's exactly what they brought to Coachella. They were just there to have a good time, and everyone who didn't go into it with an agenda had a great time along with them.
