September Update

Well, it has been a minute.

Sorry for going radio silent for so long. The summer was a bit more complicated than I was planning originally. Between a couple of vacations, some unexpected illnesses, and some other small speedbumps, my writing schedule got a bit behind, and I tried to buckle down and focus to make up for it with... debatable success.

The good news is that the third Team Player book, Corporate Values, is done! That makes four books written this year. Unfortunately, I think I was supposed to have written six at this point so obviously I need to adjust my expectations.

Right now, I'm doing final rewrites/grammar edits for Common Cause, the third in the Common Clay series. It's the longest book in the series so far, and it's a pretty good one I'd say! At least, I feel like it comes out as a little bit better balanced than Common Knowledge was, so I'm excited to get that one ready for release.

After that, I'm going to be doing final rewrites and grammar edits for Season of Storms, the third Iron Kingdom novel. Depending on how long that all takes me, it should carry me forward into October, at which point I'll be able to write something new.

I've been debating on whether or not I should take some time to just do a one-off novel, or continue with the series I've got going so far. Wisdom would suggest that only trying to keep up with three series would be the best choice, which would mean I would dive back into the Iron Kingdom series with the fourth book, Summer Revolutions before going on to write the fourth Clay book after that. Then again, I don't want to get so locked in on those three series that I get burned out--or at least, that's what my continually distractable brain keeps telling me. Maybe I'm just letting myself get intimidated by the prospect of writing these books for like the next two or three years. Oh well.

In any case, my focus on grammar stuff and editing means I do have the brainspace to start posting some new bonus content as well, so expect some of that to show up in the next couple of weeks. As always, thanks to everyone for reading and for your patience. See you around!

Well, it's done as in I've written it and scheduled the chapters, but I haven't got it published somewhere yet. I might need to focus on that as well. Part of the problem with focusing on too many things at once, I guess...

Wait! Does this mean Common Clay Book 2 is available somewhere? Where?
