I HAVE MUCH TO SAY... BUT I'M SO GLAD I GOT TO EXPERIENCE IT!
Part one really built up the worldbuilding but I did have my concerns when it came to the playground they built using the mind of our little lead here. Why I've always been worried is the story can lose it's footing in the realms of being grounded and realistic within the stories world, (not ours).
Why this is a concern is we can be pulled out of the experience as viewers or straight up don't believe what we are seeing. There were instances in this game I felt that but most importantly... The game creators choice for the ending or should I say endings. Yeah I hate that, personally. I like a one ending be it done and dusted, even if I hate it, I'd still like more than what we got with this game where the player has to complete it multiple times to get there.
I'm guessing this is a Silent Hill thing and made for fans who are already aware of this.
I loved the set up of this game, my favourite scenes are in this video (part 2) and the visuals, graphics mixed with lighting themes, chefs kiss!
Are the other Silent Hill games like this when it comes to multiple endings? Do you need to complete the story multiple times to get the true ending?
It reminded me of an arthouse film and even though I think the delivery of a story like this is genius, it wasn't my cup of tea. I'm still mixed on this game.
All opinions are my own and may differ from you but that's great. It makes us human and allows us to have conversations on why we believe something works or doesn't to the individual. 🙏🏻✌🏻

2025-10-28 16:25:49 +0000 UTCHey Kai so to answer some of your questions and comments here: -The experience of Silent Hill is kind of like this, but in the original games is a little more grounded and not so trippy. And the multiple endings has been there in the games since the very first one launched in 1999, but this is the first one where you get the other endings with the NG+. In other games, all endings are available, except the UFO ending which you do have to end the game once at least, but will depend on how you play and some decisions you make. -Silent Hill f was more experimental with bringing the japanese culture and maybe that is why it has so many symbols and readings that could confuse more than clarify things. Im not saying that the other games of the franchise dont have that, but they are closer to our culture and that makes them more solid and clearer, especially Silent Hill 2. Its less about myths and culture and more about experiences and connecting dots. -If you want the best and more true to the source experience of Silent Hill, I truly recomend Silent Hill 2, especially the Remake. Also, its been considered for many the best psychological horror game of all times, not only for the monsters and stuff, but also for the story and the worldbuilding. And you can be a total coldcaller and enjoy it, it has its very own thing going and you dont need to know about the other games to get into it. And it has a plot twist that you wont see coming and will crush the things you thought at that point -And last one, could it be possible for you to react to all the endings of this game? Since this is considered the bad ending, it will be curious to know how the other endings look like

2025-10-28 13:43:53 +0000 UTCMan, that was close... Had to pause quickly while you were talking about the true ending. Haven't beaten the 2nd playthrough yet! For me the NG+ playthrough confirmed more stuff than revealed. If you're going through the first playthrough calmly and piecing things together, you'll know what is happening by the end. With a video like this, is understandable to not know what the hell is going on. X3 And that 2nd playthrough has had enough differences in the story and even the spooks that I honestly had a blast going through this game.
