2023-03-26 20:22:42 +0000 UTCYes it's from a reference image and yes I've tried using procreate but I'm not a huge fan of using the ipad and procreate definitely has its limits in a full concept art workflow.

2023-03-12 13:04:08 +0000 UTCI gradually push the contrast with the layers of shading. It's just pressure control. The color is always set to black and every pass gets a bit darker. The idea is to finish with the darkest areas and sharpest highlights in the final pass.
