Not compatible with Cindy's route
First, Ian needs to have a good relationship with Holly. and be interested in her. The latter can be done in two ways:
- When Holly asks if he thinks she's cute during Chapter 3, he should answer "Very cute" or "I do" ;
- He can also "Ask Holly for a date" during Chapter 5.
During Chapter 6, Ian have a conversation with Holly at work or by text if he was fired where he gets to ask "What about your plans, Holly?" she then talks about the book fair, the correct response is "I'd like to tag along".
During Chapter 7, Ian needs to first "Accept Holly's invitation" to the book fair. After telling Holly "You're amazing as you are"/"You're beautiful, too"/"I like you" she kisses him. He'll then be able to "Kiss her again".

Not compatible with Lena's Love Route
The following morning, during Chapter 8, Ian comes clean about dating Lena and, as long as he's not in love with her, Holly's route will continue if he tells Holly "I'm not rejecting you" If Ian isn't dating Lena, instead Holly asks him if it was a one time thing and, well, "It doesn't have to be".
