Hyphae tea lamps
Added 2025-04-18 22:19:14 +0000 UTCJust a quick update for the Neuron tier! The next reward will be stainless steel Hyphae tea lamps. Each will have a one of a kind pattern generated by our Hyphae software inspired by leaf venation (and mycelial networks). We wanted to create a piece that would let us make something from lasercut stainless steel. More details later!
Let me know if you have an opinion on if they should have a base or not

No base could be a more streamlined look. However, I can also see a wood base working well as the wood marries well with the organic nature of the art. So excited as usual!!!

2025-04-19 18:51:37 +0000 UTCHaving a base seems necessary if they were a real product, but they’re more of an experiment so the added complexity of adding the base is possibly not worth it. We considered having a laser cut wood base that it sits on with a groove on the edge where the metal can rest. The other option is having a circle of metal laser cut with tabs on it that bolts into the shade structure base but then there’s more elements to bend and fasten.
