We're almost done with the Red Planet documentary!

For those who are unaware, the weekly show I make with some communist friends, Red Planet has been working on a documentary about the ZAD!
The ZAD (Zone to defend) is an area of biodiverse wetland near Nantes in France, where activist squatters stopped the construction of the Notre-Dames-des-Landes freight airport by fighting the French state until it ceded the land. There have been a tonne of docs made about the ZAD but to our knowledge none in English, so we're very excited to bring broader awareness of it to the anglosphere. This is the first Red Planet documentary but we're excited for the possibility to go in future to other intentional living communities and sites of struggle to make films about them too
We're going to have more and more to share about it as the project progresses through its final stages, but I just got back from a week-long stay on the ZAD getting a final round of footage and now there's only editing left to do!
