I came here hoping to hear more from Fiq about Black-Jewish relations and was ... left a little disappointed and honestly nervous. Y'all don't have to look hard to find where Trump has been antisemitic if you Google it or ask Jews themselves. The idea that he was 'only' philosemitic is dangerous and paints Jews as a non-target by someone who was and still is very dangerous to Jewish people. He enabled white supremacists (who infamously hate Jews), he had an Evangelical Xtian playing pretend as a Rabbi to have a "my Jewish friend" moment, and plenty more if you go looking. I'm sure this was just a matter of ignorance in the moment, as the overall video essay was pretty solid! I just am highly cautious about the ways people talk about (or fail to talk about) Jew-hate these days, for hopefully understandable reasons. EDIT: I KEEP HITTING ENTER -- Otherwise a really interesting interview, especially hearing how black nationalism was so suppressed, and how the image of the "hotep" comes from that suppression. Also interesting to hear how this is just being used to fuel more division between black and Jewish people by painting it as a Black vs Jewish thing, when it's really "white supremacists vs everyone else" as always. Good interview! I just. Let my anxiety be the first thing that responded and I hope the edit shows the good faith here. Apolo
