Some VERY Lost Drive-Inβ¦
Added 2022-06-28 03:04:42 +0000 UTCHowdy, Patreon Pals! This was meant to be your Sunday Funday post yesterday but I got crazy busy and way behind with everything (as usual π). So, letβs call it Monday Funday, shall we? π
This is a lil compilation of clips from a short film JB did for Stephen Kingβs Dollar Babies. (If you aren't familiar with what that is, #GoogleThatFucker. Itβs a pretty interesting concept.)
Part of the stipulation for these projects was that they could only be shown at film festivals. Thatβs why we only have clips instead of the whole short. (#loophole! π)
The gist of the story is that JBβs character is a traveling salesman considering suicide. JB said he spent a lot of time getting into that mindset for this role, and I think thatβs evident even in these clips. π₯°
Right now JB and I are on a flight from Chicago to Boston for the first show in our AGFA tour. hereβs a lil pic in his travel gear fer ya! πβ€οΈ
Have a great night, and we look fwd to seeing some of you tomw! β€οΈ

Those rules for choosing a hotel room do sound very Joe Bob.

2022-07-10 23:19:08 +0000 UTCGreat little film. I even got a little teary eyed at the end. Also, what a treat to see Harvey Pekar playing the motel clerk.
2022-07-10 18:27:25 +0000 UTCThis is so good. I wish I could see the whole thing somehow. Or Joe Bob Briggs in a feature length depressing indy film. That needs to happen.

2022-07-01 03:57:26 +0000 UTCAll That You Love Will Be Carried Away! Always a standout short story from King for me. JB really nails the feel of Stephen King in this, I get the feeling he really βgetsβ it when it comes to his work.
