The Weekly Report #45 | November 25, 2022

Hello dear Patrons,

It's Friday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

[1] MAPPING FOLLOW-UP GRAND UTOPIA

Denver ...
is over! 😄 Officially this time because when I posted it on Facebook earlier this week, I admit I wasn't actually 100% finished. But shhh 😁 I think I've talked enough about this English archipelago in the last few weeks so I'm not going to write a long post about it! The best thing is to give you some visuals so find several pictures in the gallery of this report.

Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel...
has begun! So the construction of the big city of v1.15 has been started. It will be located by the sea (yes, sorry Grand Utopia is an island 😅 Actually, I didn't have enough space between the D4 and the west coast to make a city that doesn't touch the shore) but it will also spread inland. Indeed, following a message from one of the members of the Discord, I felt like going back to the roots with the creation of a Malterre-style historic town centre. So expect new sweats to deliver the Trameri depot in St-Sylvestre-Cappel 😈

A 6th village ?
Despite the existence of 5 new cities in v1.15, I feel that there is still a gap between Chaseville/Chirac/St-Sylvestre-Cappel. I'm thinking of adding a small road north of Chaseville to reach the Chirac area, on which there will be a small hamlet with a small delivery point. I'm still thinking about it but I think it could be good. What do you think about it?

Renovation of Gavroche and its surroundings
While I was installing a new VTC in the Gavroche area, I had the sudden urge to renovate this part of the map which is, dare we say it, very old. I will try to do my best to improve this part of our beautiful utopia. I can already show you some pictures of the winding section of the N1, as well as the climb to Lafalaise, which have been revamped.

[2] LET'S DO SOME MAPPING #4

It's been a long time since I posted a video on my YouTube channel. This week you got early access to the latest Let's Do Some Mapping. In this episode I worked on creating a small sheep meadow. If you missed the video, you can watch it again here.

[3] L7CFOX BACK ON MYGOTOPIA

Those who also follow L7CFox will know that he temporarily lost his YouTube channel due to a hack. Fortunately, he was able to get it back! We wish him and Miss courage in this very unpleasant situation. I speak from experience because since the hack on my Instagram, I've simply rage-quit by suspending my account 😅 Anyway, Fox marked his return to YouTube with the release of a new video on the mygotopian roads. [4] PERSONAL THOUGHTS

I wanted to inform you that tomorrow is an important day. The most important day of the whole year, or even of your whole life (yes, it's my 31st birthday). So, you know that I usually get the most done on Saturday. Well, this is going to be difficult. I hope you won't be too disappointed if the next report is rather poor in content.

We have passed 160 members, which has never happened before, so I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your support. It means a lot to me to see so many players joining my project. 💛

Bonjour chers Patrons,

Nous sommes vendredi et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

[1] POINT MAPPING GRAND UTOPIA

... est terminé ! 😄 Officiellement cette fois car quand j'ai posté le message sur Facebook un peu plus tôt cette semaine, j'avoue qu'en réalité je n'avais pas terminé à 100 %. Mais chut 😁 Je pense avoir assez parlé de cet archipel anglais ces dernières semaines donc je ne vais pas rédiger un pavé à ce sujet ! Le mieux est de vous donner des visuels donc retrouvez plusieurs photos dans la galerie de ce rapport.

Saint-Sylvestre-Cappel
... est commencée ! La construction de la grande ville de la v1.15 a donc été entamée. Elle sera située en bord de mer (encore oui, désolé que Grand Utopia soit une île 😅 Non en vrai, je n'avais pas assez d'espace entre la D4 et la côte Ouest pour faire une ville qui ne touche pas le rivage) mais s'étalera également à l'intérieur des terres. En effet, suite à un message de l'un des membres du Discord, j'ai eu envie de revenir aux sources avec la création d'un centre-ville historique à la Malterre. Attendez-vous donc à de nouvelles sueurs froides pour livrer le dépôt Trameri de St-Sylvestre-Cappel 😈

Un 6e village ?
Malgré la présence de 5 nouvelles cités dans la v1.15, j'ai l'impression qu'il existe encore un vide entre Chaseville/Chirac/St-Sylvestre-Cappel. Je pense donc rajouter une petite route au nord de Chaseville pour rejoindre la zone de Chirac et sur laquelle se trouvera un petit hameau avec un petit point de livraison. Je suis encore en réflexion mais je pense que ça pourrait être bien. Qu'en pensez-vous ?

Rénovation de Gavroche et de ses environs
Alors que j'installais une nouvelle VTC dans les environs de Gavroche, j'ai eu l'envie soudaine de rénover cette partie de la map qui est, osons le dire, très vieillissante. Je tenterai donc de faire au mieux pour améliorer ce coin de notre belle utopie. Je peux d'ores-et-déjà vous présenter quelques photos de la portion sinueuse de la N1, ainsi que de la montée vers Lafalaise, qui ont été relookées.

[2] LET'S DO SOME MAPPING #4

Cela faisait fort longtemps que je n'avais pas publié une vidéo sur ma chaîne YouTube. Cette semaine, vous avez eu un accès anticipé au dernier Let's Do Some Mapping. Durant cette épisode, j'ai travaillé sur la création d'un petit pré à moutons. Si vous avez râté la vidéo, vous pouvez la retrouver ici.

[3] RETOUR DE L7CFOX SUR MYGOTOPIA

Ceux qui suivent également L7CFox savent qu'il avait momentanément perdu sa chaîne YouTube suite à un hack. Fort heureusement, il a pu la retrouver ! On lui souhaite, à lui et à Miss, du courage dans cette épreuve très désagréable à vivre. Je parle en connaissance de cause car depuis le hack de mon Instagram, j'ai tout simplement rage-quit en suspendant mon compte 😅 Enfin bref, Fox a marqué son retour sur YouTube avec la publication d'une nouvelle vidéo sur les routes mygotopiennes. Si vous souhaitez le suivre durant son trajet entre Bad Water et Paulsboro, c'est ici.

[4] PENSÉES PERSONNELLES

Je tenais à vous informer que demain est un jour important. Le plus important de toute l'année, voire même de toute votre vie (oui, c'est mon 31e anniversaire). Du coup, vous savez qu'habituellement c'est le samedi que j'avance le plus. Ben là, ça va être compliqué. J'espère que vous ne serez pas trop déçu si le prochain rapport est assez pauvre en contenu.
