I cannot BELIEVE this came from China!!! They told me to put LITBC in a box and a corner, and I'm SHOCKED at how Blue Canvas is overtaking first place for me!!!
A lot of y'all haven't started Blue Canvas yet and it makes me sad because you're really missing out on THE BEST BL of the year. Once you enter Blue Canvas, you will understand!!!

[edit: i stand corrected - 2 of them literally majored in acting and are involved in productions at film festivals. No wonder they carry their microexpressions and lines so well. 1 of them is a singer?! wow ] The logic, plot, screenwriting flow makes sense. the framing and sequence are also shot in a very art documentary narrative fashion, which fits the tone of this perfectly! No need for any bubbly comedic filters and sounds as this is definitely not the romantic-comedy genre. the tinge of sadness and pressure permeates throughout the cold winter of this show, yet reminding us that we find warmth and comfort in one another, if we're willing to reach out. hoping that the quality will continue for the remaining episodes - i don't want this to be over!!! SEASON 2 please

2024-11-21 14:50:32 +0000 UTCAll 4 main actors seem to be newbies to the scene! They're all quite young as well. Not sure about Yao Xing Hao (who plays Liu Ming Yang) but all other 3 have just turned 21 within the past couple of months (so would have been 20 at the time of filming).

The LONGING, the TENSION, the frustration, the trauma, and then that KISS?! The roller coaster with our second couple?! I sincerely hope other Chinese productions get a chance like this because DAMN the talent is there.
