But don’t worry Kent you definitely can trust Senpai because he really does care and loves Miyata, but Miyata just misunderstood what happened in the past. He thinks that Senpai feelings for him isn’t real. But when you watch the rest of the episodes you will understand Senpai a-lot more. But this series is one of my favorite Japanese bl alongside my personal weatherman. Ps. Senpai is so fine and also Miyata is so fine too 😁❤️

I love them so much, and Makoto is perfection. Finally, let's talk about this episode. I agree with abs802, in that this is a master class. We haven't really heard Senpai's explanation for what happened yet. And when Miyata compares himself to Senpai at the end, there's a bit of an underlying assumption that Miyata is making: that Senpai's popularity with all genders and the sex that he had prior to Miyata was meaningful. However, part of me wonders if after Miyata didn't show up at the train station, Senpai used sex to fill the void left by Miyata, which renders sex meaningless. Whereas WITH Miyata, it's meaningful again. It reminds me of the discussion I had with my parents when they were talking to me about dating in high school and the difference between sex and true intimacy. If you're just banging away at someone, is it as meaningful and intimate as it would be with someone you truly care about? In American culture, I honestly believe we've lost a lot of the real intimacy between partners because we're all about the freedom to have sex with whomever we want (so long as all parties consent and are of age). But that doesn't mean the sex is intimate. Like what we saw in this episode, if this had just been sex, Senpai would not have asked if Miyata hated him, nor would he have asked if Miyata was okay. He cared because Miyata was important to him, and he wanted this experience to be good since it was THEIR first time together. I love that about this show. Despite the misunderstandings of youth, Miyata is actively communicating with Senpai. This is something often missing from BLs. It's like pulling teeth to get the leads to have a frickin conversation. Not here. Senpai never has to wonder where Miyata stands, because Miyata is telling him. Also I LOVE the transitions between the past and the present. They flow like actual memories do. And they are relevant to the scene happening at the time. They are not interrupting the flow of the present scene. Love this show.

As I said in the chat, this was the most beautiful “first time” scene I’ve watched. This is the adult content we’re asking for—the relationships between grown people and all that goes with them.
