Season 2 was even better, especially the last 4 episodes my GOSH!!! The exploration among all the characters was unexpected and amazing!!!! You can definitely hear more of how much we LOVED season 2, at the end of our ep. 8 post-commentary. We also have a midway discussion on how the series is so far, after ep. 4!

Megan.. to beef with a kids show just coz of what the author said in 2017 is really STUPID and uncalled for. Also, name 1BL before 2017 that are realistic.. I am sure there is one somewhere in the obscurity but the fact that BLs weren’t even famous in 2017 still holds.

The thing that upsets me tho is talking about realism when they’re the same people that eat up all the bs that we’re served from some of the shows but here, where it is about teenagers doing teenager stuff and really one of the more realistic series, it’s suddenly not realistic enough? Oh how I wish some of those people would just get a life and learn to enjoy dramas and shows for what they are: entertainment. I understand some comparisons if they’re within the same realm as in this is a high school show and that is a high school show but anything else is uncalled for imo. Also I am sorry if I’m taking this a little too serious and over reacting a little. I am just so sick and tired of all the entitles critics coming for everything and then defend some shows that are just so insanely bad that it hurts. And I don’t mean the kind that’s so bad it’s good 🤡

2023-08-14 01:38:37 +0000 UTCi find the sex discourse amusing because these boys have been dating for 2 months, nick is still very new at figuring out his sexuality and charlie has his own stuff to deal with. obviously it's different for everyone but considering those cases it's not even that shocking that they're going to take their time doing more than just kissing. also really weird that show like this gets so much discourse regarding its supposed chasteness where a show like high school musical the series (or whtver its name is) that feels very much like its aimed at the same demographic doesn't seem to get the same kind of scrutiny. but anyway, i loved s2 as well and looking forward to the rest of the reactions. i feel like the show is doing a really great job getting more mature and tackling some heavier themes but still remaining really sweet and earnest.

Either way im happy I can watch a show as dumb as Be Mine Super Star one day and also watch a series like Heartstopper or The Eighth Sense the next. Depicting real queer experiences in different ways. I don't get why people need to have this one-or-the-other mentality when you can just enjoy the ride..
