2023-07-16 19:16:48 +0000 UTC5:05 the bazi (eight characters is a direct but horrible translation) the bazi is kinda like a very complicated chinese horoscope thing that takes into account the year, date, timing etc of your birth and is generally considered very personal information (especially in the past) as people believe that others can do bad juju to you if they know yours. used for fortune telling and what-not supernatural stuff today, some traditional chinese families still use the 'bazi' to determine if two persons are a compatible match for one another - there's some complicated calculation for it. they kinda only share it when the couple is close to marrying (in the past and for some today) my info is not very detailed cos i dont believe in it hahah. but this is the gist - the drama is definitely more traditional given the family's background in the temple and with the supernatural
