2023-04-15 18:16:33 +0000 UTCI really loved this one and will definitely rewatch it. Good storytelling and directing and great acting from really every person in this show. There was literally nothing about this story that was confusing or left something to be desired. As a viewer, you didn’t need to wonder about anything because they showed you everything you needed to know. While I had hoped to get a little more resolution with the second couple, I also understand why they didn’t. With how much Dong Hee was protesting the relationship and his clearly heavy emotional baggage, it didn’t make much sense for his character to fully give in to Ho Tae, so I’m okay with them just giving us that small moment to show that Dong Hee is starting to come around, but he needs time to work through his own hesitations. My only complaint is I wish it was longer , I didn’t want it to end 😭

For the romcom genre, Coffee House (2010) starring Eunjung, Another Miss Oh (2016) starring Eric Mun. 20th Century Boy and Girl (2017), Tomorrow with You (2017), On the Way to the Airport (2016)-- these are more of a slow-burn. Going beyond korea, there's also Absolute Boyfriend (2008) Jdrama, Hana-Kimi (2006/07) either taiwan/jdrama version, ToGetHer (2009) taiwan, fated to love you (08/14) both the taiwan/kdrama version, and the legendary It Started With A Kiss (2005) taiwan. And since it just came to me going on this memory lane, Square Pegs (2002) hong kong. --- In general, my top 3 kdrama: Misaeng (2014) starring Si-Wan, Signal (2016), Stranger (2017). Misaeng is more slice of life/underdog story. Signal and Stranger are more mystery/crime. And since Kent watches law and order, I also recommend Crime Scene and Busted--these are mystery/who dun it K-variety shows. There's also Liar Game and Alice in Borderland too

Im not sure if you have seen it already but as a throwback Dream high(the first one)😂😂 that was something JYP, Miss A’s suzy 2Pm’s Wooyoung and Taec and IU. The cringe the acting it’s something everyone has to go through. Shopping King Louie is also fun. There is also The Second Husband the main actor is Taejoon from ULS he acts his ass of there also looks foinee. Or the craziest show i have ever seen The penthouse it will raise your blood pressure hiiigh. Big mouth is also good it stars Lee Jong suk and SNSD’s YoonA. I have a long list of suggestions but I’m not sure what you guys are looking for so here where few sorry for the long ass list🤗🤗

2023-04-15 03:33:00 +0000 UTCYes...that's what the commenter over at Tita Josie was explaining to someone who who mentioned the kissing a bit. I totally understand the restraints put upon the KBL directors/stars, etc due to the rigidity of Korean society and in this case how this show navigated around that rigidty and gave such a great and simple love story with some depth, and did it so well, was really masterfully done. Kudos to the writer/director/cinematography/acting/OSTs...perfection, IMO! Kdramas are my thing, but the two lead were so damn good, I've found myself wanting to find some of their other works as well.

I cried, I smiled, I wanted to hit that motherfucker ex-boyfriend! and what about cinematography and music!! I loved! this series has managed to match Bluming for me top1 KBL

But its not like male/female pairings have way better kissing in Korea either LOL. It's just Korean culture to be conservative and should be considered too. But obviously we love a show with actual substance and good story telling out here and don't completely knock it over a kiss... like some vocal mydramalist people out there haha.

Even though I wanted more of the 2nd couple, I still loved final two eps and this series has definitely taken the top spot on my list of KBLs so far for 2023. I saw some folks on MDL complaiing about the kissing, but I loved the shadow kiss and even wasn't bothered by the actual kissing scene in this ep. I said before that the hugs between the main couple is so damn affectionate and the chemistry is palpable. So I don't mind the subpar kissing. I read on a comment on Tita Josie's reaction about the culture in Korea and how it's not as open as may seem to LGBTQ issues, so I can excuse the absence of the indepth kissing of the Thai BLs (they mentioned how the kissing scene in Eighth Sense was actually cut out of the movie version cause of Korea issues with same sex kisses). As I said in the previous reaction, the fact that Cha Seo Won and Gongchanhe have never done BL before and hit this one out the park and shows what magic can happen when you have mad chemistry and great actors! K-dramas aren't my thing, but after seeing the two leads it def makes me want to check out their other works cause of how great they both are. ULS is OFFICIALLY my fav KBL of 2023 so far! Let's see if The Eigth Sense can take the top spot or dethrone my number 2 fav Our Dating Sims. I read Cha Seo Won is going for his military service, but I sure would love a season 2 so we can see an update on the main couple and more in depth on the 2nd couple!
