This show really surprised me it showed there love in so many ways without even a kiss it really deserves so much credit I hope it gains so much love I hope they decide to make a season 2

Really loved your commentary after the end of the episode. I love dramas that are grounded in reality. The lead actors' performance was beautiful and spot on. The glances, the flirting (and innuendo), the whispers, the touches and embraces--so many things showing that these men are in a long-term intimate relationship. NC is nice when it fits the story and the characters (who doesn't enjoy anatomy class from time to time), but it would've killed the magic and the sweetness here.

LMBAO at Nolan when Kent asked "should we play Yu Gi Oh..." Nolan's deadpan "no" had me cackling. Really enjoyed your reactions to this one one guys. Can't wait for the next one.

I started watching Kdramas and then discovered Thai BL's. And while I do love a good love story some of the kisses in het kdramas were painful to watch and I now get its the conservative nature of Korea. While I do like the Thai BL's because it does press the boundaries of skinship and physical affection, but my top two favorite thai series have no NC scenes and light skinship, My School President and my only 12%. (My fave episode of your favorite series Bed Friend is the ep without an NC scene, ep 5). But one thing for sure Korea knows how to tell a good story and that's prob one of the things Thai series lack. How many times do we start off liking a series b/c it has a good premise or plotline and then the whole show tanks b/c thai producers fumble the whole thing. People are so thirst for scenes that don't make sense to the story; having a kiss scene was not necessary for this story. Shit, It took 2 yrs for Taehyun to recognize he liked Da Yeol and another 2 for them to make substantial progress. I think it showed the right amount of skinship, it's not like they spent 7 episodes with no touching at all. People don't understand that it's possible to show intimacy & affection without physical/sexual touch. Would I have liked a kiss, yes, am I fine without it, totally yes.

OMG I would never block anyone! I had another Patron that also had an issue with Patreon, so I'm wondering if it was site-wide thing. You can always message me on here or on IG ^_^!

OMG I got locked out of your patreon for no reason, I thought you blocked me, b/c it made no sense (and payment is on the first). lol. Anyways... I'm finally going to get to see your reactions to the last two eps now.

I loved this series, and the chemistry between them was so perfect because it made it easy for us ( the viewers) relate to it subtley. it made us feel the emotions and being able to connect to the characters, love doesn't always have to be represented with kisses and NC scenes. Just being able to feel the concern, the fondness they had for each other is what made this series so enjoyable and fresh. Thank you for the awesome reactions I enjoyed it and hope we can go on another journey like this one.

you guys always come with the facts and it’s clear no is ready to listen to this conversation but everything you’ve said needs to be said 100 more times for people to get it! I got into bl because I really enjoyed the stories & the refreshing queer representation & it gave me ways to understand & connect with my queer friends but the industry has gotten so convoluted lately & it’s so exhausting this is why I’m so thankful for series like this. You’re supposed to be telling people a realistic love/coming of age story -and like you’ve said no one is having sex all the time or making out every five seconds. I really appreciated that we got to see these characters be HUMAN. we got to see them work on themselves individually and learn who they were as a couple because this is real life. Tae and Day were never even seen as that type of couple who needed sex to progress their relationship, they were two people deprived of love & passion/purpose they get enough intimacy just knowing the other person is breathing next to them at the end of the day times are changing we need to keep going forward like this & people need to understand if you’re not a queer man these stories are not for you! Also side note kudos to Yechan & Jaehan for putting their whole bussies into telling this beautiful story. I felt every single thing they delivered to me. I’ve never been more satisfied with a show since MSP wrapped. these two really made me want to get into Omega X so good job to whoever suggested them for these roles and I really hope they don’t give up acting after this because I would absolutely watch another series from them, bl or not.

Honestly, this has always been the weird part of fandom for me. Mostly (white) women fetishizing men, i.e. harry/draco and if ur were on tumblr destiel/ johnlock, or u know the larries. But u dont see that same energy pushed for yuri/ gl series. As an asian american, seeing the rise of hallyu/ anime becoming mainstream has been amazing. The fact that we can get a movie like EEAOO and win all of those oscars blows my mind. But, for me, I've been seeing the limits of "representation." An oscar means nothing if Asian people continue to get attacked walking down the street. (Like have people seen the way congress treated the tiktok CEO)/ gay rights being taken away and so on. (And we can also have another discussion about how certain Asian demographics want to be fetishized but that's another time)

Wow. This was such a beautiful episode and well done show. Amazing acting from all of the characters, amazing writing, amazing directing and filming. Couldn’t agree with you guys more on the discussion of a skinship. They showed us more love and romance in this show without one single kiss than a lot of shows do with multiple NC scenes…. How is that a bad thing? If you can write a show like that and make your viewers FEEL those emotions, you don’t need the skinship, and that’s a testament to GOOD writing.

Crystal Petra

thank you guys for great reactions and discussions this whole series :)

lau

Awesome reaction. This show has some of the best lines ever. Kent you have the perfect title already. Just use Nolan's quote.

Angel

Those two give me alot of emotions without skinship, it’s the feeling that I got with saifahZon even though they did kiss and all but they had that tension and chemistry that radiated without physical contact yk

This show just felt so complete and comforting. And that people are out there complaining about the lack of skinship baffles me. Why does everything have to revolve around that? We don’t have to see them make out or fuck to know they’re a couple and considering the couple item culture in Korea they’re basically showing everyone they’re together without telling them and for some comments to call this a queerbaiting bromance is just absolutely ridiculous. They’re showing more romance and development in characters and relationships than other shows we’ve seen this year. What happened to not fetishising gay-/ queer-relationships? I don’t feel like there’s anything missing at all. I just feel full and warm after watching this and comforted. It was just so good and the storytelling in this was so beautiful. I now have 2 number 1 favourites, Blueming and Shoulder to Cry on. Also love the reaction as always. 😊

Haven’t had a chance to watch the reactions just yet, but on the skin ship debate, TBH I don’t watch BL for the NC scenes. I’ve always been a big rom coms/rom drama doesn’t matter if it’s het or BL or GL or anything in between if it has romance or drama part of it, the I could care less. I mean I don’t expect it from my het romcoms so why should I expect it from BL or non-hete content. To me NC scene should at the very least feel integral to the story or at the very least not just random NC scene that has nothing to with the overall story. Basically for me the NC scenes has to make sense in the context of the story they are trying to tell

nellybell47

For me I think what draws me personally to BL is me coming out as a pansexual person over the years im just attracted to stories of the queer experience, even if it doesn't represent me completely I still feel like I can relate to stories like this. I find myself preferring BL and Shoujo over GL mainly in the manga sphere which looking from the outside might seem weird as someone who does like women too but when it comes to GL manga specifically some of the time its the opposite of Yaoi and it is written a lot by male mangaka's which I feel can sometimes affect the stories and how I relate to it, of course, this isn't all the time I find actual GL series are doing better jobs as well as Shoujo and GL stories written by and from the female perspective but as a whole I tend to enjoy both and I can get enjoyment from everything watching intimate scenes with straight couples, gay couples, and lesbian couples, etc. if it's done well with the intention of the characters in mind and sure I don't mind smut here and there but In a series like this, I frankly didn't want or need it..first, they were in high school, second, they were not at that point yet. I'm sorry id never criticize something just based on if there is a sex scene not included..that to me is utterly ridiculous that is not a real criticism like?? Its kinda sad people would rather watch a bL for more 18+ scenes and not the narrative or acting because to me that is the most integral part, even to making NC scenes feel like they are full of meaning.. I could care less about what you like to watch/get off to frankly it's not my business lol. But for these people to actively want sex scenes everywhere and to dilute the entire BL genre to just that is not what I want for the future of the genre..sure sex can be a component but there is so much more to BL than just that, and non 18+ stories are still so valid to have..we should not be actively saying that is a bad thing.. Man I'm writing too many books lately in your comments sorry lol, always appreciate your talks, must feel cathartic for you guys xD I honestly just really appreciate hearing your perspectives on things. It makes every reaction fun to watch! <3
