Lmao Im hollering at the essay call out but yes I was also confused-and still am ngl- regarding the timeline of this who situation and time of events. At first Wen didn't make it clear as to why he just up and broke up with Alan after 5 years but I figured it was because he just lost feelings but I wanted Wen to confirm it for me. I didn't think Alan did anything cuz I'm sure Gong wouldnt have bee as friendly with Alan had he actually bee abusing Wen or anything because from what we see with Wen and Gongs friendship, they seem to tell each other everything, down to their messy one night stands lol. So I'm really confused where you all got the idea that Alan was abusive lol, I have no clue where you guys got that theory from. Either way I'm glad that wasn't the case, and yeah I can understand Wen for simply just falling out of love cuz as sad as it is, some people just arent meant to be nd that's fine, but like you said Kent, Wen shouldve communicated that to Alan from Day 1 and let him know WHY he just randomly broke up with him. Which is why Alan went on that little "rampage" cuz he was just trying to get answers that bitch ass Wen was withholding from him. Im just glad they both finally sat down and talked it out and came to an understanding. As for Jim yeah I agree, he be making me mad with the way he deals with Li MIng, it's really not that deep for most situations, cuz I was saying the same thing, like I get you just got Li Ming and had to take care of him with zero experience but I feel like some of this stuff should be common sense. If you're always against Li Ming when he gets into situations, ofc he is gonna resent you for it. You're making him feel alone, like he has no one to depend on, even if he is in the wrong, have his back, support him, be there for him and let him know that you'll stand with him like an Uncle should. Cuz when he called Leng and told him what happened, the first thing Leng asked was "are you okay?" NOT" You crashed my bike? wth, why do you keep causing problems Li MIng??!". That's a terrible feeling to know your Uncle isnt gonna have your back in a crisis, thank God Heart spoke up and helped Li Ming out. Jim is just a lost cause atp. Anyway that's all, loved this reaction lol. Here's a another essay, lol there was alot to talk about.

This show is also doing a really good job of showing communication... or should I say the ramifications of the Lack of effective communication. WEN not being clear with Alan, his words contradicted his actions and gave Alan hope to keep pushing. Uncle Jim who is loving and concerned for Li-Ming but cant seem to properly articulate for Li-ming so all li-ming feels is that his Uncle does not trust him. Gaipa is not verbally confessing to Jim, he is just silently hoping his love language will send the message. Uncle Jim can't talk his way out of a paper bag without sending the wrong message.

Which is why I was so adamant on the fact that- Wen had to leave Alan’s place and get out of this delusional mindset that it’d be all okay as long as him and Alan were “friends” LOL.

My friend was actually my roommate for at least a couple years so I beared witness to all of it firsthand. My friends partner would come over all the time so I got to hang out with them together frequently. And at the end of the day, the partner was still going home to sleep in the same bed as my friend’s partner’s ex. My friend was totally understanding the entire time, I was surprised it lasted this long. But in the end, after a whole year, the partner still didn’t leave. And their ex still had feelings for them. But like I said everyone’s situation is different, but I literally saw this similar scenario unfold before my eyes. The only difference is my friend was already willing to date this person, despite them living with their ex as friends in the same bed- while ex still had feelings for them lol.

KC

I understand what you mean and everyone’s situation is different! Which is why I love hearing everyone’s opinions. For me, I’ve actually witnessed this exact scenario for a year, where my friend started dating someone who was still living with their ex as friends and still sleeping in the same exact bed. My friend was very understanding for a whole year, but in the end it didn’t work out because the ex still had feelings for my friends partner. And my friends partner had a whole year to leave and didn’t. So my friend broke up with them because they couldn’t take it anymore.

You asked if sign language is universal and it's not! ASL stands for "American Sign Language" so in Thai, it would be TSL. I have noticed that there are a lot of similarities in the signs, though. For example, the signs for "deaf" are similar in both languages :)

To be fair, Wen said that he wanted to end the relationship completely and didn't even want to be friends with Alan because he probably knew it couldn't work out. Alan was the one who wanted to be friends with Wen and stay in Wen's life, and Wen himself said he only tried to be friends with Alan because he still cares about him. Alan should have just accepted it was over and not pushed for a friendship that he knew would never work because he still has feelings for Wen. And also Wen has told him clearly that he no longer loves him. If Alan hadn't pushed for this 'friendship', I think they wouldn't be in this situation in the first place. But I can understand, why Alan tried to save their relationship. It's hard to let go of someone you love deeply. They both tried and in the end it was difficult for both of them to finally let go. I also don't think 4-5 months is too long a time to try to salvage their relationship/build a friendship. When I consider that my brother and his wife have been trying to save their relationship for over a year, than 4-5 months is still okay I guess. But I'm glad they finally put an end to it. I hope both of them can finally move on. :)

Ok..wait truly final thoughts...LOL. At the very least, that final conversation between Alan and Wen was one of the most mature conversations I've seen in a BL for sure. I appreciate that. Also BTW, P'Aof and P'Best are credited for the screenwriting, and someone said that might have been P'Aof making a cameo as the waiter asking to "rekindle the flame", makes me wonder if he wrote that line...LOL. I did see a comment somewhere that was really funny but true. Jim is obviously the type who picks up strays and helps out with an unwanted pregnancy, raises his nephew, gives free food at the end of the night instead of making a profit, so of COURSE he's gonna let Wen stay with him. Also, I had the same thoughts I think it's gonna be a camera trick...you will see Jim seeing them kiss, but NOT a direct shot of them kissing. GMMTV have got to be saving the "first kiss" shot for MSP, because they know people are waiting for it! Can't wait for tomorrow's ep

Final last comment...LOL. I like the idea of Li Ming taking the entire walk to the boba tea stand talking up Wen cause he's TOTALLY a Wen/Jim shipper...LOL. I love the scene with Win LiMing and Heart as well. One other thing, I like Gaipa, but to be fair, Jim has shown more interest in Wen with some mixed signals than he has with Gaipa. Yet Gaipa still actively pursues Jim, just in less direct ways. I mean if he didn't like Jim, I'm don't know that anyone would put up their property as collateral for someone who even being close "like family" isn't family, unless mom already considers him family cause of Gaipa's feelings for him. I mean technically Jim is NOT a great businessman. Wen was right when he told him giving away the food at night is not going help his profits. I think he’s holding onto the diner because of his ex, as a way to hold on to that love. On Jim and LiMing, I usually sided with Jim in many moments with LiMing (as someone who raised my teenaged sister when I was in my 30s), but this ep, I fully cannot side with Jim on his interaction with LiMing. I understand he feels that LiMing should have been more mindful with Heart but the conversation they had at home was def a case of Jim being "unbendable" as Wen called him once. Also, I feel like Jim could have defended LiMing at Heart's house when the parents accused him of being a liar or putting words in Heart's mouth. Jim wants LiMing to come to him and talk to him, but he's not putting the effort to listen or hear LiMing when he is in the right, like he was in this case. Heart's parents were such trash for that. Thank goodness Heart met Li Ming cause those parents are horrible. I mean I know gender norms are bullshit, but on average mother's do the most for their children, at least in my life.

Here's your long comment Ken...LOL OMG...such a good episode. Wen and Alan...wow! Mix and First were TOP NOTCH!!! I've never actually watched the First before but I'm officially a fan. And wow either Mix is great with ANY pairing or First is...but the chemistry!!! The Heart/LiMing stuff was great too, but for me...the Wen/Alan ep made the most impact for me! I'll process the Heart/LiMing stuff later though. I do love how if you are willing to be fair to all parties, you come away from the Alan/Wen relationship not taking anyone's side. I really like that they didn't give a "reason" why Wen fell out of love with Alan. It allows the viewer, based on their own experiences to choose how they feel about it. But also, sometimes there is no ONE thing that can cause a relationship, even a long term one to end...it's not always cheating or abuse, sometimes partners, even MARRIED partners, do drift apart and one or both partners decide to stick it out up to or util one or both decide it's over and leaves or dies. Either way...BOTH are miserable. I think too many folks are invested in either Alan or Wen being "evil" or bad, but in life it's NOT always the case. Although I get it's a common trope in most BLs, but I like the realism of this series so far, on classism, love and relationship. Relationships like Wen/Allen happen for reals in both hetero and same sex relationships I too was a bit confused at first about the timeline, but I realized looking at the clothing...the argument with Alan happened BEFORE the Christmas fight with Jim. So no Wen didn't sleep with Jim while he was still "with" Alan. Yes they lived together, but according to that argument, Wen already had said to Alan that he didn’t love him then but still stayed because Wen belived (stupidly I might add) it when Alan said they could still be friends. Alan was clinging to being friends when he actually still wanted to be boyfriends. Which you can tell cause during the Christmas fight with Jim, Alan accused Jim of “sleeping with his boyfriend”. I was one who never believed that Alan was abusive or even that Alan was a bad guy. I do totally agree the bed thing was too much. But after watching the episode, I think Wen like he said, he continued to stay with Alan because he too at some point thought maybe they could work it out. Which TBH is kinda realistic as well.

nellybell47

I also feel bad for Alan but love isn't a reward for being nice. Wow it's quite hard to put a relationship like this on the screen, but it's very realistic to me - they just break up because they dont love anymore without any drama, serious events (like cheating, conflict...) or a real reason that they can blame on, you just dont feel love anymore, cannot tolerate each other anymore.

The acting in this is phenomenal. Fort Gemini and Fourth are my favourites like their chemistry is undeniable they’re perfect for each other in this. Second I do feel for Alan it’s never nice for someone to fall out of love but it does happen. I feel like sometimes we have to accept that and move on no matter how hard.

N.Kai

Hm whatever for some of the comment cause I’m the one and I’m gonna say it …. Alan is delusional no matter how much wen will tell him he don’t really want to listen ! Enough is enough … everyone and everybody have the right to fall out of love ughhhhhh ! I’m talking from a real point of view.. can’t expose my fam but it is ok to say stop even tho feelings lingering

Shaarleenjeon

Gemini and Fourth's acting was so good!!! They nailed their characters so well!! I like their story a bit more than the others, like they have a pretty good story line, and it's different from what we usually watch.

My heart breaks for Alan. A 5-year old relationship ends suddenly because one has outgrown the other. Honestly I can't blame him for not being able to accept it.

mildangz

I do really love how they show every side in a very non judgmental way letting us draw from our own experiences, I'm honestly not really putting blame on anybody for this because both i saw it as Alan and Wen to scared to take that step foward because they don't know what will happen on the other side moving on can be hard I think it came from a place of caring so much but it only caused more pain. it to me felt really human i love the way the ended it. I'm hoping for more Jim's story now that this thing is resolved because clearly he went through pain from his past and i really want to see that, im hoping him seeing heart and Li ming kiss next episode will give him hope to maybe start his life with wen. I do think Jim deserves happiness because he gives his away to so many people around him. I just want to see him really begin to think about what he wants. I can see him start to take in the things around him and observe them, I'm hoping he can use these to really move foward too. Great episode! so excited for tomorrow!
