2023-02-19 18:40:19 +0000 UTCJust to be clear, but I've rewatched more than a couple reactions to the episode and Wen doesn't say "No, let's talk somewhere else". Actually, Alan says "is this asshole the reason why you are doing this to me". That's when Wen aske what Alan is doing here and that they talked it over. The assumption being the break up or what have you. Wen actually says "no" in response to Alan asking Wen if he "wants to be over with him BECAUSE of this jerk". My sense from that line was Wen saying it was NOT because of Jim especially since my feeling is that the relationship was "over" long before Jim came into the picture for Wen. BTW: I don't hate Alan one way or the other, I suspect the next couple of eps we will get the backstory on Alan and Wen. I do think though that the show is doing things in such an interesting and real/relatable way that TBH the whole Alan/Wen situation or even the Jim/LiMing situation will reflect your own personal trauma/experiences in the same situation, either a partner cheating (cheater/cheatee) or a parent or guardian/child expectations situation. Whatever the case may be, it's very interesting either way to me...really enjoying the show.

2023-02-18 23:06:08 +0000 UTCThis is an unpopular opinion but until we get the full timeline and story of Alan and Wens relationship, In my eyes, Alan will always be in the right for how he is acting.)Aside from still being attached to Wen but again we don't know the full story) And before you gasp in shock, the reason being is, ive learned that in these situations, it's best to look at things from each persons persepective. We still don't know the full background of their "break-up" and I saw this because it seems really unclear, one minute Wen is saying he broke up with him, the next the best friend is telling Wen he needs to get over ALan and end things with him for once, the other Wen is lying about not wanting to leave Alan for Jim. And I only say that because, in the end scene, Alan ask Wen if he wants to leave him for this Chicken Rice cooker, which Wen responds with "No, lets talk somewhere else" which I found weird.....because if yall are broken up and are done with each other, then why lie? Wen DOES in fact want to leave Alan for Jim so why not say Yes instead and just let Alan know what it was right then and there??Why drag it out and say lets talk later? Cuz Wen didnt have the look of someone who is being bothered by his annoying ex, on the contrary, Wen looked like someone whp got caught in a scandal, which is why I feel there is WAY more to their "break up" than the show is letting on and I feel Gong knows something. However all that aside, I don't get how people are getting on Alans case so much, Yes I can understand not liking how possesive and controlling he is, that is valid but everything else is making me question why people hate on Alan. Because in the opening scene, Wen gives Alan so much attitude and then throws the electric bill at Alan telling him he forgot to pay it. First of mfking all, IDC what situation we're in, how can you BREAk someones heart by breaking up with them(allegedly), disrespect them, and treat them like shit IN THEIR OWN HOUSE?? BECAUSE i feel like a lot of people are Team Wen soley because we've been with him longer. How are you giving your "ex" orders to pay the bill when yall are suppose to be roommates? The first thing i said was "well what bills are you paying Wen??!" since we barking commands, and Alans whipped ass talking about some "oh ill get on that" like no, who tf is you talking to....IN MY HOUSE?? LMAO Cuz you talking about a light bill, like sir, you scared your full moon beer is gonna get warm? And Kent, you brought up a really great point, when exactly did he break up with him? Cuz it seems like a recent break up, was it before he hooked up with him or after cuz if it was this recent it makes sense why Wen hasn't moved out yet. And make sense why he wouldn't want to go to that guy James' party because it would mean "they would still have to act like they're still a couple". And also why Gong told him to officially end his old chapter with Alan. So honestly all the points do point toward their "break-up" being recent. And so someone like Alan who has done nothing but treat him right and do the best for Wen with his best intentions getting suspect of why his boyfriend who he is clearly whipped for just suddenly broke up with him and then you find out he has been hanging around some other guy, ofc you're gonna put 2 and 2 together and wonder..."hmm did he cheat on me with some loser and then dump me for him". Cuz its so obvious ofc its gonna affect Alans heart and pride, the love of your life cheated on you then dumped you, the proceeds to eb rude to you and live in your home rent free while being rude and talking to other men all while sleeping in your bed telling you to stay on your side... I know Alan isnt perfect but come on now, you can't say We isnt i the wrong for all of that!!?? You can't really call Wen a saint, Alan is just as much human as Wen is, his feelings are vvalid too. Everyone seems to just disregard his feelings because we see him acting out, but that's simply just our first impression of him cuz that's how we're meeting him. He clearly was a sweet and good boyfriend according to Gongs conversation with Alan. Either way, Wen and Alan both have done wrong things and from the way I see it, Wen is the more trifling one in this situation, WEN IS THE ONE that broke their home for Jim but ofc Alan is the bad guy for acting out and feeling hurt about it. Disclaimer: Also, Kent none of this frustration was pointed at you lol, I'm just a little disappointed that even you aren't giving Alan the human courtesy he deserves, regardless of why he is acting out. Im shocked the mass majority of people really won't wee things from Alans perspective. This was just me speaking in general.

Mix hand trembling after Alan left before Jim ask him to leave. And Earth's worry for Wen when he fell and after he to up...sooo good...so messy! I LOVED IT (said in my Edna Mode voice)

If I recall correctly he said P'Aof said he had Mix in mind when creating/thinking of the character so everytime I see flirty Mix. Also made me think of that during the Santa scene and the Jimbo scene. Cause ust like you said Nolan, you can literally believe that that's just how Mix and Earth are at home away from the set...LOL

Also, Earth in that scene really seemed like an older uncle who just wants the best for his nephew and his frustrations, anger and sadness at their current situation was acting so well by Earth. You could see, hear and feel the hurt and anger. This series is DEF the best we've seen from Earth! Brava!

This show is a masterpiece!!! Life is messy for most human beings....I love the reality and maturity. We have romantic love portrayed. We have family love or lack thereof portrayed. We also have the harsh financial realities that many people face every day. Loving this show and the actors are killing it!!! Every single one of them!!! I'm falling deeper in love with Mix each episode not that I wasn't aready in love with him!!! Got me jealous of the damn cat!!! I also love him with his hair down.....So touching the love that was displayed in this episode. I do wish GMMTV would stop coming after the moms!!! Great reaction!!! Thanks Kent!!

2023-02-17 03:08:52 +0000 UTCthis episode cemented this for me as a masterpiece series..This is in my opinion p'aof's magnum opus and the best series he's done. I've complained alot about thai BL in the past about their lazy production and lack of artistry but this series is just visually breathtaking I love its choice of lighting in each scene to really show mood using dark blues and harsh colors whenever Alan showed up to show that cold and distant relationship contrasting all these warn hues when characters are experiencing that happiness, music is amazing and enhances the scenes, and the writing feels so perfect, natural, and beautiful don't worry Kent I ugly cried at that church scene when I watched it and right now watching it again it's so sad also that hearts parents could be there with him if they actually tried to understand their son and treat him like an actual person and seeing everyone else experience happiness in their harsh circumstances and realities just made me sob. The acting is pitch perfect as well as it's messaging. I can't praise it enough honestly, as long as they don't completely fuck up the ending this will easily be in my personal to 10 of all time.
