It could be that the mom's old self or her old flame was like Gorya, strong-willed fighter, but her parents did something much worse than what she did to Gorya to the old flame. Because when Gorya said that "Even though we might not be a couple, Thyme won't love you". I thought the reaction was the only genuine reaction from her, like she was reminded of someone or herself.

I know it is a long stretch since she is, quoting from Dee, "a raggedy bi**h", but it could be her "redemption and giving Gorya her blessing to be with her son". Or Tia forces the mom to have Gorya help or say goodbye to the company. But I loved everyone coming together to help Gorya when she became homeless they truly are a found family. Uncle Ga, best character and he deserves rights! I felt bad for Kanning and Uncle Ga because the only thing they did was supporting Gorya like family/friends should. The breakup scene between Gorya and Thyme was intense and heartbreaking.... ๐ I really did not expect that from Gorya, I thought it would be her explain what his mom wants to do and then they do a fake break up. I feel that it is noble idiocy done right because she is thinking about everyone else in the long run. Sorry for this long comment. But I love your reactions and your thoughts about the show. Dee, I love that you state your opinions true to yourself. Do you girl!
