Patreon Pricing Announcement

Bump: The last 24 hours are here to make the most of the changing! If you become a $5 member before tomorrow (24 hours from now) you will be grandfathered in for the old price for as long as you remain a member!

Hello, I want to announce an upcoming change in the pricing for my Patreon. When I originally created my Patreon in 2019 I chose USD as the currency as the path of least resistance. Most people online know what a dollar is and how much it is worth compared to their local currency.

Well… that has now been 6 years ago and the world is a much different place and (after repeated pestering from Patreon) I decided to adjust my prices, mostly to be more in line with what I think each tier is appropriate for in my local currency. While looking into the new rates I also figured I might as well do a general overhaul of my pricing in the lower tiers.

So I present you the new DM Tuz Patreon pricing starting August 12th:

Minion - 3 USD: This will be the new tip jar which will also grant you access to my Patreon Discord. Otherwise this tier will no longer offer you access to content.

Henchman - 7 USD: Content will no longer be separated (for the most part). Just one general support tier that will get you all the regular updates!

Boss - 15 USD: You will still be able to vote, to get exclusive artwork, and to see early drafts.

Adventurer - 50 USD: No change, you still get to access the regularly run D&D games. If everything goes according to plan I will open 6 more slots within the year.

Let’s address the obvious question: Will my current tier be changed? If you are a Minion the pricing will be the same but your rewards will be changed. If you want to get access to my material going forward you’d have to upgrade your membership to Henchman. But for the Henchman I have good news (which is also a good incentive for existing minions to upgrade): Everyone who is a Henchman at the current price will be grandfathered in at the current price for as long as they remain members! (Though I won’t say no if any existing $5 members would upgrade their tier to the new pricing.)

As for the change to the Minion and Henchman tier, I want more flexibility in my work, and deciding what material should be available to Minion tier or Henchman tier has been very challenging. So for the sake of creative freedom and efficiency, there will be one general content tier going forward.

Lastly, as an additional part of this change, I will make arrangements to sell pieces of my content on my Patreon page aiming with the pricing of each piece to be lower than paying for 1 month of the new henchman tier (unless it is for larger collections).
