Added 2023-07-25 13:45:31 +0000 UTCSo things have been a bit quiet lately, and people have been asking me if something was wrong on my end. Thanks to anyone who asked, your concern is greatly appreciated! I will fill you in on what is going on and where the updates went:
- Where are the updates?
A possibility occurred that I always dreaded: all of the artists (all 4 of them) I commissioned for art had significant delays for one reason or another. I am pretty much sitting on a lot of almost finished material without artwork (Arachne, Crokian player race, new monster set, more dragons, new filler art). The good news is that the artwork is now being finished, and you can expect a series of rapid updates soon to make up for missed updates!
- What have you been doing in the meantime?
Meanwhile, I was working and failing at creating a storyboard for the coming Forgotten Foes Kickstarter trailer. Ultimately, I had to let go of my ego for the sake of the project and turn to more experienced people to help me. I found an experienced storyboard artist who worked on several Nickelodeon cartoons and has a soft spot for indie projects to help me turn my screenplay into a decent storyboard!
- What can we expect?
I will play catch up with missed releases, meaning the next 2 weeks will have double releases. This is unfortunate since I already had to play catch-up not too long ago when I was on vacation and then contracted Covid. I will make sure that the material will have been worth the wait! Also I have been talking to some folk to bring back the LOBE Archives and perhaps test the waters if it can be an avenue for Kickstarter stretch goals.
