Remember that she's not a judge, she's a prosecutor, from the DA's office (specifically the DA's office from another city, as everyone in ABQ knows Jimmy). Her role is not to render an impartial judgement between two sides; she literally represents one of the sides (not Chuck, but the State of New Mexico, whose laws Jimmy violated). Sheβs there to score a conviction, or barring that, make a deal of some kind, in this case what's known as a PPD. Judges and juries are supposed to be impartial, absolutely, but she, as an ADA, is not under that obligation. It's perfectly normal that she seems friendly with Chuck, as from a legal perspective, he's the victim (though obviously a huge douche). It sucks, because we all love Jimmy, but Suraj was right, she's just doing her job, and doing it well. Hope that helps some. Looking forward to the next episode!
