🥐 Home Boulangerie is BACK!

Dear Simmers,

I’m thrilled to share a big update for my Home Boulangerie Mod Kit today! 🥐 This is another step in my ongoing effort to refresh and improve my mods since my return to The Sims 4. Updating these mods has been an important part of my journey back. It’s taking more time than I initially imagined, so thank you for your patience while I work on them! Now, let’s dive into this new release!

This mod kit has been completely revamped and is now updated to its 2.0 version. Let’s take a look together at what’s new and how it works!

(The Home Boulangerie Lot is now available on the Gallery. Find me with my EA ID : @ArniePlus and download the Lot to play with my version of the bakery, you can also build your own!)

What is Home Boulangerie?

A “boulangerie” means “bakery” in French, and they can be found in France and other French-speaking countries. Boulangeries are often located in residential buildings, with the shop on the ground floor and the living space upstairs, typically run by a couple. They are an essential part of French culture and lifestyle. I wanted to bring that charm into The Sims 4 by enabling players to open their own bakery on their home lot!

In my save file, Bob and Eliza Pancakes are the proud owners of a Home Boulangerie! They are absolutely PERFECT for the job.

With this mod kit, you’ll find a new Bakery Machine, identical to the Cupcake Factory. This machine lets you bake some iconic French treats, like baguettes, croissants, and macarons. Bon appétit! 🥖🥐🍰

 Some of the boulangerie recipes, which have been revamped.

Once you’ve baked and cooked the delicious pastries and breads you want to sell, you can display them on the Boulangerie Sales Table.

I recommend building a bakery shop on the ground floor of your residential lot. Simply add the sales table, then decorate the space to feel like a cozy café or anything else you imagine. Don’t worry, customers will come to your residential lot to purchase your goods as soon as you open your boulangerie.

To start selling, just drag and drop the items onto the sales table. Then, use the ‘Tend Table’ interaction followed by ‘Open Boulangerie’ to open your bakery shop. Customers will start flowing in, and you can even adjust prices by marking them up or down.

You can find all the Boulangerie items by searching for "Boulangerie" in the build/buy search bar (or the word 'bakery' in your own language if you are not playing in english and your language is supported by this mod -- see down below)

You can find my Boulangerie Build on the gallery, my EA ID is @ArniePlus. Don't forget to tick the "Custom Content" option in the Gallery for it to show up!

What's new in this update?

Almost everything has been revamped, from 3D models to textures, with new and improved code, as well as bug fixes! Here’s the full changelog:

• 🎨 Added new color swatches for the Sales Table

• 🪑 Added a new smaller Sales Table

• 🔧 Fixed the slot locations on the Sales Table

• ✨ Added 12 new decorative stickers, Boulangerie-themed (Place them on shop windows for a fun look!)

• 🎨 Added new color swatches for the Boulangerie Sign

• 🚪 Added new color swatches for the Entrance Door and Windows

• 🏭 Added a new model for the Bakery Machine (identical to the Cupcake Factory)

• 🥖 Revamped the 3D models and swatches of the Baguette and Pain Boule wall decorations

• 🍰 Remade all recipes and the code behind them from scratch

• 🎂 Revamped food textures and 3D models

• 🏗️ Added a new 'Luxury French Tiles' Flooring with several swatches

• 🌍 Added new languages supported: 🇫🇷 French, 🇪🇸 Spanish, 🇵🇹 Portuguese, 🇵🇱 Polish, 🇮🇹 Italian, and 🇩🇪 German

• ✔️ Other bug fixes

How to Install

• Download the file attached to this post down below: "Arnie_HomeBoulangerie_2.0.package"

• Put it in your Mods folder (and make sure you enable mods in the game's settings) and don't forget to remove any previous version from your mods folder too!

• Enjoy :) You can find the items by searching for "Boulangerie" or "Arnie" in the build/buy searchbar.
