Flexible Corn 🌽

Hello everyone πŸ™Œ

this month I've been exploring AI-generated 3D models, but the results are still modestβ€”the models require extensive post-processing in ZBrush. Specifically, I created a diorama in Fusion 360 inspired by the game Super Mario Bros. (1985). Initially, I planned to quickly generate four characters, but so far, I've only made Mario. I’ll share more details in my next post.

This post is dedicated to the 5th vegetableβ€”this time, it’s corn. 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽

It was tricky to decide on the length, so I’ve provided three options: the numbers in the filenames indicate the number of segments (5, 6, or 7)

Visually, we’re used to seeing corn with the stem at the bottom, so I usually place the keychain hole there. But for each length, I also made a version with a ring on top (the bottom stem isn’t used in this case). The image shows all possible options: the top three have a ring on the upper part, and the bottom three have a hole in the stem.

Since corn has rectangular eyes, I gave it rectangular pupilsβ€”but a version with round pupils is also available, which might even look more natural.
There are small arrow-shaped marks on the eyes and indentations to indicate the "up" direction. One pair of eyes fits all versions.

Use glue to assemble the character.

I added notches in the leaves for precise positioning.

To attach the tongue, I apply super glue with a toothpick and place it with tweezers.

I also made a supermarket basket. Like the corn, it prints without supports.

I’ll also add versions with googly eyes πŸ‘€
