If I'm not mistaken, this is only the second time Icy-Hot's mom's face is shown. Despite all Todoroki's flashbacks of her, the only memory he has of her face is when she freaked out and threw boiling water at him. So him finally visiting his mom in the hospital gives him an opportunity to see her as something other than the terrified woman who looked at him like a monster

They really brought this anime to life and were perfect for the task. They know how to hit all the emotional elements. The music is great, voice acting and animation are top notch.
