Yeah, that's a fair point, too. Ya know, it seems that the good shows are always just on the edge of being canceled and the boring stuff always gets renewed. I guess boring and more-of-the-same is less risky albeit much less satisfying as well. I guess we had that big writer's strike just before Fringe came out. That'd killed/perma damaged quite a few shows so I guess the execs were a little skittish.
