2018-07-23 14:52:11 +0000 UTCThe Hawkeye/Mustang talking code scene has gotta be one of my favorite moments of this episode! It says a lot about their relationship when they know and understand each other so well that they don't have to say anything directly to the other. Lol yep! When you asked last episode if you'll ever get an explicit answer to the whole Father and Hohenheim situation, I couldn't help but laugh because here you go! What's so tragic about Hohenheim was how he said he wanted a family someday and once he had one, he couldn't or at least, he had a hard time being with them because of what he is. All the guy wanted was a better life and a family and Father twisted that and cursed him with immortality and half the population of Xerxes tormenting him. I'm surprised he didn't go insane yet because of that. It now makes so much sense why he was distant with Ed and Al, and even why he views himself as a monster. Just a fantastic character after this revelation! Now go back and rewatch the first opening of this show, and you'll see that it literally tells you within the first few seconds about Xerxes and Hohenheim's backstory. The answers were right there the whole time xD
