JFYI, the man calling himself God is the same guy Kevin saw on the bridge in the afterlife when he was taking Patty to the well and again at the afterlife hotel bar. This show generally does a much better job than most shows at the whole "could be supernatural, could be mundane" ambiguity. Though in this particular instance, I do think the evidence is slightly stronger that this guy really was God, or at least some guy possessed by God. In which case, God in this show is fickle and amoral, which I love.

2018-07-13 18:12:11 +0000 UTCI don't know if you noticed, but David Burton/God was in s2e8 and s2e10 in the afterlife. He was the man on the bridge who offered a noose to Kevin and the man at the bar who told him he needed to sing to come back to life.
