2018-05-07 04:36:04 +0000 UTCHe wasn't worried at all. He was surprised at how light-hearted the first episode was despite how gritty the name made it sound. That's a pretty fair assessment. And I'd still argue that it's correct. This show is NOT dark or gritty. It has a couple of dark moments, the darkest of which by far is this whole ordeal with Nina, and a deals with a few mature themes, but the overall positive and hopeful tone of the series more than overshadow those moments. And that's fine. Shows don't need to be dark to be good (though personally I feel like the show could have done a better job at transitioning between its serious moments and its over-the-top goofy moments).
