I think with Wayne, you just have to let the mystery be. As, with all things that might be attributed to a supernatural force you can't know for sure if it isn't pure coincidence and confirmation bias. Can't wait for S2. Not sure which is my favorite between 2&3 but we're now getting into it.

Sometimes I feel like I'm shortchanging this show w making LOST parallels, cuz it is profound on its own terms, but it's been fun looking for the echoes in this rewatch, coming right on the heels of Jimmy's LOST reax. So I think Nora is kinda Juliet-esq, tho stands on her own as an iconic character. Is Jill... Kate?

Is it just me or did Jimmy finally break at the end?

I don't know whether you picked up on it but the GR stole those family photos of the departed and lay all their outfits out on the church floor a few episodes back so they could get those mannequins manufactured. There was also the guy in Nora's episode 'Guest' who claimed to be a 'Burial Doll Salesman'...

I think I mentioned this to you before but I feel like Matt is very John Locke-esq (hence your love for him too lol) and Kevin is very Jack-esq in terms of comparison to LOST characters. Kevin and Kevin Sr. also remind me very much of Jack and Christian's relationship a lot too. I love this show. Not as nearly as much as LOST of course lol but definitely love the Leftovers especially due to all the LOST references and similarities.

Another question Jimmy: Would you have been satisfied with this being the end? If there wouldn't have been anything else after this?

"I think I've given in" - YES Jimmy! This is what it was like for me. After a while I stopped really worrying about what exactly is going on (although I was still curious) and instead I just let myself experience whatever the fuck this beautiful acid trip of a show is doing.

Season 1 is great, but I think you'll like S2 even more. It is so incredibly different but still retains all of the aspects that made S1 great. They introduce some characters that really spice shit up.

if there is one thing about LOST and leftovers it’s obvious that Lindelof likes making really good finales. Each one from each season is incredible

And this could have been the series finale. This is where the book ends, so seasons 2 and 3 are original material now and nothing adapted. Glad you liked it... can't wait to see what you think about the season 2 opener. It's... something.
