2018-04-06 12:07:24 +0000 UTCThe reason that I'm not picking Code Geass, despite me it being my favorite option on the list, is because I feel like Jimmy needs to watch a couple more mainstream/gateway anime first. Code Geass is fucking amazing, but it's also filled with plenty of anime tropes that can be really offputting if you're not used to them, like the highschool bullshit, overdramatic dialogue, gratuitous fan-service, unique art style, hit-or-miss humor, and inconsistent tone.

All set up, and Steins;Gate pays off so fucking good with its great characters and the exhausting emotional ride and the story. There is a damn good reason it's one of the top with Brotherhood in the lists at Myanimelist. Just do all these series.
