What is really incredible about this show is how, in an episode like this, so many different time periods concerning a character, with such important moments for what is happening and what is yet to come, are highlighted, and you know exactly when we are. You may not understand the implications for what you are seeing, but you know When you are. This is result of very good directing, script and acting.
