the reason why people tend to agree across the board with their political party is because they get sucked in because of their core values. To me, the republican party is the anti murder party first and foremost(abortion). They are the pro human rights party. And the individualism party. They are the pro capitalism party, the free speech party and so on. Do i agree with everything they do? Of course not. Do i like a few things the dems do? Of course. But i cannot vote for a party who focus on race so much(democrats) and for a party who is okay with the killing babies.(democrat). anyway you gave your views i figured id give mine ;D My point is people are sheep top a party's entire ideology because they are the only group willing to support what they care most about.

I disagree with a lot of your political opinions, and I sort of expected to feel condescended to and/or attacked for that (why I clicked on this anyway, I have no idea, except that I'm maybe a little glutton for punishment), but you are thoroughly respectful, very articulate and actually quite enjoyable to listen to. I feel like it would be fun to debate you - which is rare in these days of flinging insults and talking down to people instead of actually, y'know, debating their arguments. Just thought I would share that, since it's coming from someone who doesn't agree with you (particularly on gun control - egads); your respectfulness and obviously well-reasoned thoughts really made me like you a heck of a lot more than I already did :)
