I always thought a good way to bring back LOST would to not only tell the story of Walt, but also Aaron. Hell, throw in Ji-Yeon (Jin and Sun's kid) Clementine (Sawyer's kid) and Charlie (Desmond's kid) and you've got a big enough cast for a THE NEW GENERATION type story. What if Walt and Aaron are the next Jacob and the Man in Black? Regardless, keep Ben in the "highly competent guy in suit who gets you everything you needs and used to reign in hell but now I serve in heaven" role and oh my God I just realized Ben is a reverse Lucifer...

"Mother" wanted MiB to have the job, because he was Special - but when he turned it down, she had to go to her second choice. I now think that Jacob was just like Jack and Hurley - merely temporary stop-gaps until someone Special, like Walt, could take the job.
