The flash sideways is an epilogue that is being broadcast simultaneously with the ending. Anyone remember Sawyer reading Watership Down on the beach? The whole flash sideways makes me think of the epilogue of Watership Down. I don’t mind it.

I really like this show, but the sixth season is a trainwreck. Flashsideways was a season-long con - it took almost half the running time of almost every single episode and it amounted to absolutely nothing - didn't matter in the slightest. They could have done so much more with that time instead of focusing on sleepwalking, dead characters. And what's up with Ben and the tree? How did he get free? Magic, I guess. What was the point of that scene? Why leave it in? The goodbye scene at the top of the cliff was ridiculously disappointing - was made all about Jack and Kate. Hurley not even saying goodbye to either Kate or Sawyer, it was just lazy and unrealistic. They completely ruined Claire's character - she was total mess this season and it didn't work. If they had made one episode centered around her - showing flashbacks of what happened when she disappeared in Season 4 and how she survived and slowly went mad - that could have been fantastic, but nope, no time for that - gotta show the useless con that turned out to be Flashsideways. Sayid was also totally ruined,he was an amazing character up to season 5, but then writing for him became awful and it all culminated with what was a disgraceful sendoff scene in The Candidate for a character of his importance. Jacob and MIB were two of the worst characters on this show and introducing them at the end of Season 5 was single biggest mistake that the writers made. 10/10 for Season 1. 9.5/10 for Season 4. 9.0/10 for Season 3. 8.0/10 for Season 2. 7.0/10 for Season 5. 4.0/10 for Season 6.

i'd recommend the "how it should have ended" for lost bundled in with the new man in charge, quite funny

Thank you, Jimmy, for reacting to this show. It got me to re-watch it myself and I got even more out of it than the first viewing. With the added bonus of really enjoying the ending this time when I kind of hated it the first time. Sticking around for Attack on Titan!

Very first scene: Jack's eye opens, Vincent enters. Final scene: Vincent enters, Jack's eye closes. God damn if that's not the most beautiful, perfect, satisfying ending, I don't know what is. Thank you, Jimmy, for your funny, thoughtful and honest reactions these past few weeks (found your channel in December!). I enjoyed rewatching this series through your eyes, and have come to appreciate it even more than I already did. I think I most enjoyed how you understood Locke and Jack's characters, what they represented, and how they fit together. You really got at the core of these characters and that's what made your reactions really...special :). And I equally enjoyed your discovery of the Great Ben Linus. All three amazing characters that will stay with those who come to love them for a long long time.

I know people have been harping on you for a new show to react to, but I think you’d keep a lot of people interested if you reacted to the leftovers with how strong the reaction to lost has been on here. In my opinion Lindelof fine tunes a lot of his storytelling and while I like LOST, I don’t think it’s a perfect show. The leftovers, to me, is what television perfection is.

I'm sitting here in my kitchen watching this and crying , my kids walked in and said oh geez she's watching that "Lost " reaction and getting all emotional😢 . I have watched Lost start to finish about 3 or 4 times and I still don't fully understand , but I don't really care . Everything was done beautifully , seeing everyone together and happy to be together after everything they've been thorough is enough for me . And how did you not shed one tear lol

I would watch the finale again if I were you. LOST is a show you need to watch more than once but of course you're not gonna rewatch the whole show now but I think the finale needs numerous watches.

my favourite show of all time. there was a big divide about the end, and alot of silly people thought they were dead the whole time, tut tut. for me lost is a character story, and the way every character arc ended i was very pleased with. the whole purgatory part i actually was fine with, suppose you can make up your whole mind what it really was, but i believe what the jacob/mib mother said is right, the heart of the island is the source of life death and rebirth. none of those characters would be truly at rest in the afterlife had the island been destroyed, and that source must be protected at all times (hurley of course protected it for a long time based on his conversation with ben outside the church) oh and the ending mirroring the first first scene with jack's eye opening, and vincent... waterworks

100% with you on this one... The "They were dead the whole time!?!" people seemed miss the whole 5 minute dialog between Jack and Christian. What part of "Everybody dies some time... some before you and some long after you." I'll never understand the people who say that this finale "ruined" the previous 100+ hours of investment... as though those 100 hours themselves had no value of entertainment. LOST is a moving show. It's a show about people. It's a fantastic production from the locations and cinematography, to the casting, the writing, acting, and music... No human creation is perfect. But this show hits so many things very well. I SMH in confusion at people who legit hate it.

Okay, first of all I have to say thank you for your reactions. I discovered you channel around May 2017, I think back then you were in the middle of season 2 or something like that. And since then I enjoyed them very much. And I am enjoying a lot of your other non-lost-content, too. So keep doing this! When I first saw the finale I wasn't really happy with it because to me it felt like the island cannot be that important if you land in the flash-side way anyway… I guess that and the fact that you followed the show over 6 years disappointed many people. Now, with so much years passed, I can enjoy it and even it gives you pretty simple explanation for a lot of things, I still think there are many ways for interpretation, not just the Flash-side-ways. I think that the heart of the island is a bridge or a gateway to the sideways, a way to „life“ where you can let go and leave everything behind and live in peace forever. So the island is important, because with the island destroyed or the light put out, the souls have nowhere else to go. I also thought about the show as a whole if it is a show about it’s own audience. Those who are „men of science“, that are questioning things too much and what everything explained, might be the ones who are dissapointed by the end. The „men of faith“ can let go. There are of course aspects in the show you cannot explain and of course things to criticise. When season 6 was running I was also a great critic. But in the end maybe it’s not important if it works on a level with regards to content, but on an emotional level. I love this show and it is and ever will be my favorite one. Sorry for the wall of text, if i try and use paragraphs it just sends the message haha......I have defended this finale to the absolute death for years. I think it is one of the most beautiful, moving and emotional episodes of televison ive ever seen. People hated on this finale through their own misunderstanding of it. If i hear 'ugh they were dead the whole time' one more time il scream haha. I think Bens ending is so perfect as well, he gets exactly what he always wanted, the respect of the leader of the island, and a position of power in which to protect it. I still listen to 'theres no place like home' the beautiful music that accompanied the final minutes of the show all the time. Lost is my favourite show ever, so much so i even have 'Live Together, Die Alone' tattooed on my bicep.

I Just love the idea of continuity, but also of a circle that this end provides. The final scene, with Jack laying down on the same spot he arrived, with the same Vincent that woke him on 01x01... Ahhh! I crack everytime. :'(

'Definitely need some time to process.' Yeah, took me about 8 years. At first I was emotional, then I was angry, then came the bargaining stage where I was trying to rationalize it all, then I was depressed about it, and for some reason the last rewatch I finally reached acceptance and two things were different for me this time (Guess I changed myself as a person) 1-I loved the ending 2-I stopped hating Jack. Guess I needed to learn to let go XD

I had only two real complaints about the final season. 1) the show intentionally mislead the audience in episode 1 by showing the island at the bottom of the ocean in order to keep the nature of sideways world a mystery. 2) the temple bullshit. They wasted valuable time introducing new characters and mythology when we could have spent more time with characters we actually know and care about. That said Lost is one of my all time favorite shows. Not the best show but one of my favorites. Once you accept the show is more about the characters than about the mysteries, the plot holes and dangling threads don't matter as much. The idea that Jacob brought all these broken people to this island and it healed each of them and gave them purpose is beautiful. Like Locke said early on, the island is a place that miracles happen. What a ride...

Beautiful ending , I cried like a baby. I think eko would’ve been protector of the island if he wasn’t killed off or even Locke but Hugo was a good choice aswell . There’s never been a show that’s made me care about so many characters like lost . Felt like I was right on the island with them the whole time . What a ride
