I'm just a loser watching a (financial) winner watch LOST. On the bright side, I only now came into this sitch and assessed. I wasn't waiting around like a lot of you seemingly did tonight!

What makes it even better is that it's not just paralleling Locke and Jack opening the hatch and looking down into it, but also the fact that Desmond Hume is the man in the ground/hole. (Desmond in the well also parallels that, ha.)

2018-01-29 10:15:13 +0000 UTCAt 3:23 there's a bit where the camera looks at the rope and pans up to Locke's face(Jimmy actually skipped it because it was like 10 seconds before) and in the season 2 premiere there's a shot that is EXACTLY the same where Locke lowers Kate down the hatch. It was intentionally done as both episodes were directed by Jack Bender.

In the season 4 finale when Jack and Locke are discussing miracles, Locke tells Jack that "We will have to see which one of us is right then" Nicely remembered.
