New Catch Up?

Once Black Sails is finished, Stranger Things is up on the docket. After that... who knows...?

Comments

Hey man, check out "La casa de papel" on netflix...... I swear man this was made so that you'll react to it ! on 13 episodes.

Fringe is a "good" show until the season 2 finale when it becomes a "great" show

STRANGER THINGS!!!! That's all I need!!

athena77

Band of Brothers is objectively a better show than Fringe. I voted for Fringe though, because I liked it a lot and it was sort of a successor to X-Files.

Constantine

I watched only half of the first season of Fringe, but if Jimmy will watch, I might watch too.

jimmy you should try prison break for sure.

24 (will keep you going for about 2 years), prison break (season 1-3)

The Leftovers!

Alive?

You should add The Leftovers to the list. It's a fantastic show!

Edric Wade

Fringe was a great show.

big little lies is fantastic

Whoa. I didn’t realize I’d typed that much until I saw it(For some reason, using return on an iPad keyboard posts your message on Patreon instead of ending a paragraph). Long story short, would love to see Fringe reactions(battlestar galactica wouldn’t be half bad either). Sorry for the wall of text, had a slight runaway train of thought while I was typing.

Fringe would be nice(I just realized he already did the pilot episode. Don’t know how I missed it), as there’s not a lot of reactors reacting to it currently that I could find(if anyone knows any, I’d love to know who). It’s a bit slower start then Lost(season 1 being almost like a prologue to the main overarching story, with a lot of stand alone episodes to get to know the characters better. I think Fringe has great characters too, just not the huge ensemble like in Lost. Heck, it has one of my favourite characters from any tv show ever in Dr. Bishop), but I actually prefer the story/plot in Fringe over Lost. I think Lost’s biggest strength was it’s characters, and they wrote with them in mind first. By which I mean they wrote stories leaning more on the character first side of the writing style spectrum. The “how would this character act/react/behave in this scenario”style, as opposed to focus on plot, writing the characters to serve the plot first at the other end of the scale. Most writers are somewhere in the middle, but when there’s a conflict, they’ll stay true to what’s most important to them, characters or plot. If it’s plot, you write in events/life experiences for the character to get a character to change so that their needed action to advance/serve the plot isn’t out of character anymore. If it’s character then you change the story/plot(or if you’re “Heroes” writers, you try and have a character focused tv show where the plot comes first and you change your characters so often that they stop being characters and become props for the story).

True Detective Season 1!

Erich Bomke

Leftovers is great

Yesss I am not the only person that wants to see reactors do Person of Interest. One of the best series finales of all time IMO. Another selling point is that it was Jonathan Nolan's show before Westworld which is a popular reaction show...and they actually have some big things in common.

outdoorcats

Just going to have to agree with the "there's too many anime fanboys" sentiment given by others above. I had my love of anime in the days of Grave of the Fireflies and Vampire Princess Miyu, so I'm nonplussed by this modern stuff.

Robert Kruger

>peaky blinders that low

Brit

Thank you Ryan. People compare Fringe to Lost, what's up with that?!

Marcus Andriakenas

I know its not up there but i agree with the comments for Battlestar Galactica, i think based on your love for Ben Linus, Petyr Baelish and Jack Rackham you would really love my man Gaius Baltar!

Michael Harrop

i don't watch any of those shows so once Stranger things is done, I'll probably peace out, but I'll stay subscribed just in case you start watching a show I love. Bates Motel is a good one

My 2 recommendations when people ask about new shows are Code Geass and Person of Interest

Dylan Wade

Would love to see you try Person of Interest at some point. More Michael Emerson goodness and just a great show all around that gets better as it delves more and more into its mythology.

Michael

I voted for Fringe only because I didn't care for the other choices, but The Leftovers is astounding. It's like the next-level version of Lost. I'm not saying the shows are the same (in some ways, it's the anti-Lost), but they do share commonalities, and Damon Lindelof could not have made The Leftovers without making Lost first.

Rachael

The Leftovers! Please!

Angel

Another vote for The Leftovers. As much as I love Lost, I think Leftovers is Lindelof's best show. Last year I found myself anticipating Leftovers' return even more than GoT. And i just assume you'll get to BSG eventually.

Tommy Joyce

Yes to The Leftovers and Battlestar Galactica. Two amazing shows with epic stories and awesome characters. I haven't seen any of the shows in this poll so I guess I'll just vote for the one that sounds most interesting.

Agnieszka Pienczykowska

Definitely watch The Leftovers. Damon Lindelof who was in charge of LOST created this show.

Fullmetal is absolutely worth it but looks like Fringe is winning. I think you'll love it Jimmy. Legitimately my favourite anime of all time.

Brandon Pearce

The Leftovers and Battlestar Galactica are the next epic stories to watch after LOST. For this poll, I am going with Fullmetal.

David Caine

Obviously biased having picked Band of Brothers as my $10 selection but with only 9 episodes left I'm sure you could squeeze it in Jimmy. Plus given how much you liked the first episode I can honestly say it only gets better.

BSG.. Battlestar Galactica

battlestar galactica!!!!

Punjathon

If you haven't read the book or already watched the show, I can recommend American Gods. Could really be a series you would love.

What is wrong with you people? Really, Fringe? Band of Brothers is an absolutely amazing series with relatively few episodes

Light Yagami

You NEED to react to Prisonbreak after Lost is over.

I’m in for Fringe as it will somewhat fill the hole left behind when Lost is completed. If you haven’t seen Rick and Morty or Breaking Bad, consider them. R&M hasn’t completed its run but I don’t think season 4 airs until 2019.

Brandon Bush

Black Mirror is a great call. Hopefully from the beginning especially, as the first episodes have very few reactions compared to later ones, and are excellent.

TeddyBearBonfire

To add to my last post, I think you would really enjoy the leftovers. It’s from one of the writers of lost and from what it seems like you like a show with amazing characters and the leftovers has some of the best written characters ever put on television. Plus it’s a quick watch! Only three seasons

Black Mirror tbh and Avatar: The Last Airbender

Kim Carragher

The Leftovers! Epic s**t beyond words.

The Leftovers?

PhillyJ

Lost will be up soon too. What replaced that?

Without letting my bias shine through too much >_> I think you could work Band of Brothers in no matter what, given that it's only ten episodes (although The Pacific is a spiritual successor and just as good—some argue better, some argue not quite as good—if BoB really takes you by the end, which it surely will, The Pacific's own ten-episode run would do well too down the line). The tricky part might be the 10-minute reaction approach, given there is so much content packed into each episode (In my opinion, it's probably the closest there is to a zero-filler show out there). Anyway, no points for guessing what I voted for :P

TeddyBearBonfire

As you can tell from my avi, I vote for Fringe pretty please ☺️

leftovers is amazing! As well as mr robot. FMAB is my favorite anime of all time though

Full Metal Alchemist : Brotherhood is in my opinion the best anime series of all time , Funny , Action, Full of heart it has everything. FMA. And Realy True Detectiv Season 1 is Fantastic . Maybe consider this for next vote ?

Too many anime nerds prowling the internet these days

Dean Cyphers

Band of Brothers!! And I agree about Person of Interest. That needs to be on the list!

Dean Cyphers

Please put the leftovers on the list

Please put "Person of interest" on the list at some time. Even if it takes years until you start :)

Ninaofthe90s

Have you thought about watching Fear the Walking Dead? It's really much better than people make it out to be, and many people who didn't like the first two seasons thought it really improved in season 3. I honestly couldn't see you not enjoying it. Plus, Morgan from TWD will be on that show in season 4.

Also, if FAB beats it, I'm completely over patreon polls. Anime always seems to win and it drives me insane. I'd love to see a patreon poll without anything animated in the options just one time lol.

Undisputed

Well for me it's the opposite I like all but fringe I cannot really get behind :)

KlausBerndUWE

Absolutely bates motel! That show deserves more recognition!

Jordan Drake

Fringe is far and away the best pick here. The other options don't appeal to me what-so-ever. But even though they don't appeal to me, I think Fringe would win over 95% of show options that could have shown up here. It has so many great react-worthy moments and it has such amazing characters.

Undisputed

Fringe, seriously guys? BoB is pure quality! Add True Detective in the next poll :)

Marcus Andriakenas

The 100 or bates motel !!

I get why its in 3rd place but I wish people would give it to BoB since it only has 7 more episodes after the one Jimmy watched already and the others are so long. Ah, well, its all good =)

Michael

I was hoping you'd continue BoB regardless after watching Ep 1, fingers crossed, but these animated shows always destroy in votes sadly.

Mark McKeown

Not a huge fan of the choices tbh, I know F.A.B. has given other creators problems with copyright. But is there a chance you'd be open to suggestions :)? If so, I'd love to see you catch up with Supernatural, Z Nation or Shameless (US). Most of these do not have a ton of exposure with reactions. Supernatural has gotten more lately, but the others haven't. Cannot believe you're almost done with lost already, time flies man!

Jack's World

Love Fringe like lost? I might have to check it out then.

I love Fringe the same way I love Lost so would definitely be keen to see Jimmy's reactions to it - Walter Bishop is to me what Locke is to Jimmy aha! :)

Not too excited about choices but I'm going with Fringe so I can be motivated to pick it back up again. FMA: Brotherhood will probably win and be better for Jimmy's channel.
